You know “Officials” always down play a number when it’s bad or over play a number if it’s good.

The default over played number is 2 1/2 to 3 times whatever they say. For instance, if they say unemployment is around 7%. They multiply it by 2.5 or 3 times. So the real number is 18 to 21%.

So the real number in this instance is between 200 to 240 people.

Yeah and each of those 80 came in contact with 80 more. And on and on until, by now I would not be surprised if over five million people have been in contact with ebola. Once again the Federals did “one hell of a job”.

Why do I get the sense that all Dem operatives (esp. WH bunch) view in terms of how much political gains they can milk out of this ‘crisis’?

I think they truly underestimate (or completely don’t understand) Americans, regular Americans, not just ‘their people’.

A day after the diagnosis was confirmed, a nine-member team of federal health officials was tracking anyone who had close contact with him after he fell ill on Sept. 24. The group of 12 to 18 people included three members of the ambulance crew that took the man to the hospital and a handful of schoolchildren.

On Thursday Zach Thompson with Dallas County Health and Human Services told News 8 that the man may have come into contact with 80 people. Four to five people are being closely monitored and they have been put under a “control order” to stay inside their home. All of them are close family members.
