I think the likelihood of this guy having African roots is getting slimmer and slimmer. Worst case scenario is typical Dallas Oilman: wife, kids in soccer and ballet, shops at Kroger or Tom Thumb, etc.

There should be a bunch of medical and other personnel in isolation, too. Are they going to wait for any secondary cases to become symptomatic? If they do, this will be a real mess—think Liberia or worse.

When we flew back and forth though, we took the flight path with the fewest hops. It’s a long, exhausting trip and you don’t need any more drama with hops than is necessary.
Imagine if he flew in to NYC for a few days to see friends or do a bit of touristing and then from NYC while symptomatic. EWR and La Guardia would be great spreaders.

Yada, yada. It's not one of the 4 CDC sanctioned Ebola isolation units which are in Mousula, Atlanta, Omaha and at Bethesda where the last doctor was admitted. It isn't on the under construction/being built units. It isn't on the small list of Level 4 Biosafety units. It's your regular every day hospital that has a couple of air filtered isolation rooms. Let a half dozen people he might have infected show up on their doorstep and where will they be housed? DFW is a huge international airport and Dallas is the 6th largest city in the US so it's not like he has been hanging out in the African bush with no one to pass the time of day.

We’ve established that there isn’t a direct flight from Liberia to the US right now. So he had to have made at least 2 hops between Monrovia and Dallas. Let’s hope he wasn’t symptomatic for any of those.
