Wow, he made it into the East Room???
He passed the stairs which lead to the private quarters of the family. Imagine if he had sprinted up the stairs. Fortunately I think the family was actually not home at the time. One shudders to think what a “man on a mission” who pulled a stunt like this could have done.

Per reports the day of the incident, the Obamas has just left the WH a few (about 8) minutes earlier.
