WASHINGTON, D.C. First Lady Michelle Obama took to the airwaves Friday in a Channel One interview beamed into thousands of school classrooms to an estimated 5 million students across America.
The-First-Lady-on-Lunch-262x175The Hill reports:
First lady Michelle Obama said it was natural that kids are grumbling over new requirements for schools to fill vending machines and lunch lines with healthier food, but that it would not deter her from improving child nutrition.
According to a transcript provided on the Channel One website, Obama said, I know kids are grumbling because they have to make changes. Trust me, my kids roll their eyes at me every time I tell them you know you dont have to finish your diner, but you have to finish your vegetables. But I know that Im doing it because Im giving my kids the best that I know I can give them.
The First Lady made it clear shes not backing down: Dont be mad because there are changes. Figure out why the changes are important, and then find out how you make it work for you.
You know, my kids like broccoli, celery, carrots those kind of vegetables that have a little flavor, sweetness to it. And I would encourage kids to go over to those salad bars and just try a mixture of things, because sometimes if you mix a bunch of things up and you chop it up, the whole combination sounds pretty good.
The interview didnt offer any push back the overhaul to the National School Lunch Program on behalf of students.

Dis. Am. Bi. Gu. Ation. (IOW, Another big fat lie from Michelle.)
From her words, it is as if our school children never ever have any idea what ‘vegetables’ means until she introduced the lunch program.
If you really want to know, follow the money.
The arrogance is breath-taking. That because they can tell their kids what to eat, they can tell the kids of every other parent in the country. God I wish they’d both get sucked into a black hole or something.
Yes, I stole it. No, I'm not sorry.
When she gave up her law license.....did she somehow replace it with that of an MD or nutritionist?
Exactly! If I had a kid in public school (which I wouldn’t), I would have steam coming out of my ears at these two morons saying they can tell my kids what to eat because they tell their kids what to eat!
Michelle’s had every chance to succeed, and she’s had the MSM cheerleading her every step of the way, but she’s been a complete bust as a FLOTUS. Turn off the lights on this embarrassing horror show.
As long as the yolk is sunny-side up, all will be happy.
That in itself would be enough to make a person lose their lunch.
They seem to already believe that they’re God’s gift to the world (Satan’s I would say, Obozo is a liar like his father). Obozo just informed people at some speech he made, that people are always telling him how great he is.
“God I wish theyd both get sucked into a black hole or something.”

Uh,uh,uh ! That’s racist. :-)
.
Speaking of Deep Dish Pizza, I think I will make that for dinner tomorrow evening.
Black holes take all comers :)
LOL!
LOL!
Michelle Obama is not an elected official. She holds a ceremonial position that up until Bill Clinton's presidency has become completely politicized and become a co-presidency.
The reply that parents and school administrators should say is that Michelle Obama holds no power and that they will not comply with any of these federal school nutrition rules. Figure out what changes, exactly? There's no debate here or further discussion, and I'm not going to go on a quest to see why my kid is not eating so-called healthy food at school. These new rules stink, it blatantly unconstitutional and reeks of big, fat-ass government, and my kid will not comply with it.
When these kids grow up and decide to home-school their own children, you can thank moochelle.
