The mother of beheading suspect Alton Nolen apologized to the families of the two victims in a short video posted on Facebook Saturday night.
My heart is just so heavy right now, Joyce Nolen said. Thats not my son.
The mother explained in the video that what her son is accused of doing is so unlike the good kid she raised up in a loving home.
My son was raised up believing in God. Thats what he believes, she said.
The mother apologized halfway through the video which plays for one minute and 38 seconds.
His family, our hearts bleed right now because what they saying Alton has done, she said. I want to apologize to both families because this is not Alton.
The mother also said she is praying that justice will prevail and the whole story will come out.
Also speaking in the video is Megan Nolen, one of the suspects sisters. Megan Nolen said his family is in shock because he has never been a violent person.
Were praying for both of the victims families and the victims, Megan Nolen said.
Yes, her mother adds.
The mother lives in Idabel, where Alton Nolen went to high school.
The two did not say their names in the dimly lit video made inside a residence. The Oklahoman confirmed their identities Sunday with Paige Nolen, who also is a sister of the suspect.
We are all very remorseful, Paige Nolen told The Oklahoman. If he had a chance to say anything, more than likely he would be apologizing, and thats what we want the world to know.
bttt
Oklahoma City. Any guesses as to what mosque he attends? I wonder if he’s on FB...
Well-said.
Cocaine is one entry-way for demons. Islam is another. Seems like this guy was softened up by the one and finished off by the other.
Both need to be recognized for what they are. Dabble in a “little coke” and you may be functional enough for people to say it’s not so bad - but how long do you take the drug before the drug takes you?
Thanks for your thoughtful post. :)
Oh wow. I didn’t know that. That is just terrible, and I mean that with all my heart. I pray that she’s in the arms of Jesus now.
One who decapitates another, except in defense of self or others, is a bad person.
If they repent, they can transform back to a good person, but, absent that repentance, they are a bad person.
One does not need divine wisdom to know that.
Not to take anything away from the mother if she is being sincere, but we can best believe that the victims and their families will be expected to automatically accept the apology and forgive, unlike Unarmed Teen Brown’s family.
Yeah, that part definitely diminishes and undermines the apology. This leads me to two thought, stated by other posters-that OK has the death penalty, and that the family was unable to get the password to scrub his FB rants.
Good point.
Indeed. I’d say it’s well within the realm of possibility that a person may be “bad” when they go around beheading other people.
Can we regular citizens profile yet, in order to keep our heads?
Precisely.
If this doesn’t make someone a “bad person”, what in the world would, or is there no such thing? The Bible refers to “the wicked” many times, who are those wicked, and does beheading innocent people qualify?
He went to the Mosque of Greater Oklahoma City, the IMAM there was apparently buddy buddy with Al Awalaki notice how the pieces are slowly coming into place
Technically no one is really good, but our only concern is determining how much bad constitutes too much. Is it occasional petty theft or is it killing random innocent people because you don’t like the way the world works?
Speaking of his Facebook page, on May 30th, he claimed to have made a new convert to Islam, writing, "One whom was Guided to Islam 2day I offered him Dawah [missionary work for Islam] and he took his shahada [the Muslim profession of faith]!" He posted a photo of his alleged convert, a rather normal looking guy against a green background holding up his index finger in the Islamic State salute.
Here's a direct link to the post. Anybody recognize him?
Believe it or not, the post has 12 likes (apparently one person has unliked it since Breitbart posted a redacted version of it).
At the time, a number of Freepers had expressed shock that didn't say a word about their homeboy's victim.
Does anyone else remember this? Was it his sister that said this?
She needs to take a look at his fb page. No "good" person suddenly goes off like that. As if she didn't know he'd turned against his Christian up bringing and attending a mosque. As if she hadn't seen his islamic tatoos. As if he hadn't had angry rants about islam and stoning women at the family dinner table. De Nile.
His sister supposedly
