The mother of beheading suspect Alton Nolen apologized to the families of the two victims in a short video posted on Facebook Saturday night.
“My heart is just so heavy right now,” Joyce Nolen said. “That’s not my son.”
The mother explained in the video that what her son is accused of doing is so unlike the good kid she raised up in a loving home.
“My son was raised up believing in God. That’s what he believes,” she said.
The mother apologized halfway through the video which plays for one minute and 38 seconds.
“His family, our hearts bleed right now because what they saying Alton has done,” she said. “I want to apologize to both families — because this is not Alton.”
The mother also said she is praying that justice will prevail and “the whole story will come out.”
Also speaking in the video is Megan Nolen, one of the suspect’s sisters. Megan Nolen said his family is in shock because he has never been a violent person.
“We’re praying for both of the victims’ families and the victims,” Megan Nolen said.
“Yes,” her mother adds.
The mother lives in Idabel, where Alton Nolen went to high school.
The two did not say their names in the dimly lit video made inside a residence. The Oklahoman confirmed their identities Sunday with Paige Nolen, who also is a sister of the suspect.
“We are all very remorseful,” Paige Nolen told The Oklahoman. “If he had a chance to say anything, more than likely he would be apologizing, and that’s what we want the world to know.”

Oklahoma must have the death penalty.

The DemocRATS stick it to yet another black family. Her “son’ got caught up in their “multicultural diversity” bull**** and look where it got him. The problem with political correctness is that it always gets the wrong people killed.

He wouldn’t be the first person raised as a Christian, but turned away.
If she’s done everything reasonable that could have done to raise a man, she deserves to not be attacked.
Like she never even existed..haven’t even seen a photo posted of her..horrible, she deserves to be remembered for the life she lived..but the media won’t mention a thing about her, because to report on her is to report on who she was killed by and they won’t touch that

I got the impression that he’s not the son she raised. That something changed him so dramatically that she no longer knows him. That something is islam! So I can kinda understand what she was trying to say, eh?
Yes it was your son. The time is soon where law enforcement be damned. It is your war here. We will win.

If she were a black street thug killed by a cop or a citizen in self-defense there would be a full court press blasting everything anyone ever wanted to know...and Obama would try to make it known to the world to show that the US isn’t perfect.
I feel bad for the mother and other family members - but he couldn’t have been all that innocent since he apparently was radicalized in prison. Seems to me Islam gives an excuse to be angry, to control, to abuse, to murder and this is a lot of the appeal.
Islam is demonic. It makes a wild animal out of what was once a human being.
If this mom can convey that to the world, we will all be much, much better off.
My heart goes out to her. Islam stole her son from her. Now I pray that she has the courage to tell the world that’s what happened.
No doubt her intentions were good at the moment. The video may prompt some scrutiny of her.
This is why only God is qualified to judge whether a person is good or bad. There can be a side to anyone that is completely unknown to even the people closest to them.
