What has not been said is, with that apology, the Police Chief is implying that the officers are on their own if they re put in a position where they have to use force. He has , with that apology among other actions, conveyed to the rioters that he is on their side. One of two things need to happen:1. The Officers should resign in mass. 2. The Police Chief should be fired immediately.
