The U.S. Department of Justice asked Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson on Friday to prohibit police officers from wearing I am Darren Wilson bracelets while on duty in Ferguson.
Christy Lopez, a deputy chief in the Civil Rights Division, told Jackson in a letter that residents had photos of officers, from unknown local agencies, wearing the bracelets.
We are keenly aware of the importance of individual expression of opinions, even those that some find offensive, insensitive, or harmful, Lopez said in the letter. However, she continued, these bracelets reinforce the very us versus them mentality that many residents of Ferguson believe exists.
This is at least the second letter from Lopez to Jackson this week. The first, dated Tuesday, urged Jackson to enforce department policies requiring officers to wear nametags.

“us versus them mentality that many residents of Ferguson believe exists.”
BECAUSE THEY WANT IT TO!
These ghetto scum are low-class trash. They live their whole lives with chips on the shoulders, constantly blaming whitey. They want someone to blame for THEIR inadequacies.

The chief is right-—they should not be worn when on duty.

The “us vs them” attitude is the attitude of the thugs and parasites towards those that unwillingly support their useless a.....
When I was an apprentice meat cutter I was sent as punishment to the getto of Milwaukee, near 27th & North, the Fondulac Ave store. As junior meat cutter I was expected to answer the buzzer for the fish case. The first few days I really enjoyed the place. The customers were personable, willing to joke around and had a great attitude. I was having fun with them.
Then the 3rd or 4th day it was totally different. Every customer had a chip on his/her shoulder. They were even accusing me of putting a thumb on the scale to rip them off; and they WERE NOT joking! They really thought I was trying to rip them off!
After a few customers I asked what happened to these people and was told that the welfare checks came out.
Even the other black people in the neighborhood (the ones I was dealing with before) would not come to the store at this time; the didn’t want to deal with these parasites either!

If they’re so worried about an “us vs them” mentality, then why would they have the police chief march with the looters?

And the police chief should not have marched with the looters and protestors. That’s taking a side, too.

She had photos of officers from unknown local agencies, so she wrote and publicly released an accusatory letter to someone it may not even apply to. Yeah, that’s about par for these clowns. Standards of proof? Nah, that’d require having proof and standards, then you get into that whole truth thing... much too complicated for a DOJ Social Justice Warrior.
