A Fox News host has issued an apology after making a sexist comment about a female fighter pilot earlier this week on The Five.
During a segment about Maj. Mariam Al Mansouri, a female pilot from the United Arab Emirates who led a mission this week against ISIS in Syria, Eric Bolling referred to her mission as 'boobs on the ground.'
Now, after outrage from viewers, and even his own wife, following these insensitive remarks, he has apologized.
** snip **
'Do you think the gents on "The Five," minus Bob, should get a do-over on that one? They're going to get in so much trouble for that one,' she said.
Gutfeld still has yet to apologize for his statement.
Sadly, it seems that Maj. Mansouri is used to these comments, telling CNN in an interview earlier this summer, 'Whenever a woman enters a new male-dominated field, they find the same hesitation, the same prejudice, the same stereotype thinking.

I agree. Well said!
The rest of the networks are having a field day, using it to skewer Fox News and Conservatives.
Moreover, EVERYONE on this board is constantly saying (and rightly so) that the Muslims treat women worse than dogs, and it should be condemned. Women lack basic rights in most Muslim nations, including even driving a car. This was a UAE pilot, and the female Fox reporter was heralding the fact that ISIS murderers were getting bombed by an Arab woman.
And what does Eric Bolling do? Make a stupid, sexist joke. Thanks. With friends like these........
“Either he’s stupid, or immature, or both. I don’t mind the sexism so much, but he’s showcasing extreme lack of judgment. Maybe he should work in the mailroom.”
Eric Bolling is one of the most gentlemanly talk show heads on Fox. He made a joke, it wasn’t taken well by many, and e apologized because the PC crowd couldn’t handle the joke. By the way, Bolling was a Wall Street trader for years, made lots of money in oil trades, knows everything about the oil business, and is a real smart cookie. He is independently wealthy, a great capitalist, is a good Catholic (goes to church just about every day before going into work at Fox), is good looking, has a beautiful and wonderfully nice wife according to all who know her, and a son he dearly loves. Eric also played professional league baseball for a while when younger. His Saturday morning show “Cashin In” on Fox Business News is the highest rated show than all of the other Saturday shows on other channels, combined.
And what are your accomplishments as you hurdle out the insults towards Bolling when you don’t know squat about him. When you talk for a living, the pitfalls are many. He makes very few mistakes. Allow him one, especially in light of his apology which, by the way, he made twice on TV, not just once. But then you must be perfect and make no mistakes, right?
leftists can say anything they want, of course
e = he above. Typo.
But putting girls in the militaryor police, or fire, etc.is not just crass, it's obscene. It's toying with everyone's safety and with the military woman's privacy and dignity, and sticking her cross-dressing act in our faces. It's taunting all of us, demanding that we remain polite and not call the corrupt bureaucrats on their lie that a woman is any offensive use in combatthat it could even be appropriate to intentionally put a woman in harm's way.
So, while I wouldn't do what the guy did, out of good manners and morals, I can sympathize. His description of the purpose and effect of putting some lady-commander in a plane so she could be a tourist in a Mideast hot zone, and so some Obama suck-up in the brass could check off a box, was 100-percent accurate.
I have a friend who has very large breasts. Her name is Mary Beth, so of course her nickname is Mary Breast. She jokes about having to wear ‘Steel Belted Radial’ bras.
He meant Boob in the White Hut
ya , Barry The Boob
It was a frigging joke! Get over it.
Just wish guys would keep comments like his for when they’re not in mixed company, although, to me, some of the Fox females are just as vulgar in their shrill speech and the way they overtly expose and present themselves.
I wish men and women would tone it down. Young people need to see examples of modest, dignified adults, instead of the behavior of these cartoonish stereotypes. Too often, Fox is just another peep show. :-(
Gutfeld did issue an apology for his comment...
So he apologized to his wife and his co-workers...but not to Major al Mansouri? And if I recall correctly this was shortly after he took Obama to task for lack of respect for the military because of his salute.
I didn’t know this about him. Thank you for taking the time to give us a sketch of this man’s life. We all make mistakes. How good of him to apologize... good example for fans to emulate.
People need to lighten up. No apology was necessary. Maybe if he would refer to “balls on the ground” the liberal scorekeepers would call it even. Probably not.
Good post. +1
