The White House is bristling at the suggestion that President Obama is becoming more warlike and, therefore, more like his predecessor, George W. Bush.
At the White House press briefing on Friday, reporters asked presidential spokesman Josh Earnest for his reaction to the cover photo of the Economist magazine, which depicts Mr. Obama in the flight suit worn by Mr. Bush during the Iraq war in 2003, with the new caption Mission Relaunched.
Its a reference to Mr. Obama renewing the war against Islamic State terrorists in Iraq and Syria. But Mr. Earnest called unfair the suggestion that the president is suddenly becoming tougher on terrorism.

From Wiki: ... During Barack Obama's campaign for president and in the years following his election, many conspiracy theories have been circulated, asserting that he is not a natural-born citizen of the United States and consequently, under Article Two of the U.S. Constitution, is ineligible to be President of the United States.
Theories allege that Obama's published birth certificate is a forgery ...
Notice the first four words. "During Barack Obama's campaign"
But I notice you have to revert to the old liberal course of action, calling names. But how else can a defender of bush accomplish anything other than by name calling and LYING.
Reference Your Post #8 Reference Post #16. I asked you, now I DEMAND you refute anything #16 has posted. Either that, shut up or leave me alone. I will not argue with strawmen arguments. Goodbye, troll.
Once again the true sign of a liberal, name calling.
When one is bankrupt of truth and fact, one, like you, reverts to name calling.
Bye Safetgiver, enjoy your life.
Refute your own question (originally asked)it was answered, troll.
You ought to be able to come up with at least one true claim. You failed.
The Saudis were actually hurt greatly by many bush actions including the Shia shift of Iraq. Bush and Cheney initiated the energy revolution that even Obama is having trouble stopping. Americas rapid ascendancy in oil and gas is destroying Russia and the house of saud in ways never previously imagined.
Bush began all the immigration restrictions Obama took credit for such as increased deportations. And yes more could be done but no it’s nothing like what we have now here in Texas or the outright amnesty done by Reagan.
It’s ok to make preferential distinctions. It’s moronic to hate bush or equate him with Obama or democrats.
Why would you sue the US Constitution?
You truly cannot make this stuff up!
To get rid of the clause that gives members of Congress impunity for their corrupt and unconstitutional actions.
You list them, Ill prove to you, suing the US Constitution, how wrong you are.
A guy posts a list of accomplishments and you respond with this:
get a copy of the US Constitution, read it and figure it out for yourself.
Man, that's weak! Bluff called, instant back down!
You just got owned on the internet!
So there's no classified annex to the 9-11 report?
Bush never pushed for Amnesty?
Go lie for your failed hero elsewhere.
LOL!
Who conducted and released the 911 report?
The question was about accomplishments.
Unlike Reagan bush did not accomplish amnesty. And yes he did increase a variety of restrictions on immigration prior to leaving the presidency. He was also a long serving governor of Texas who dealt with immigration in a manner that prevented the blue nightmare that is California here in Texas.
Like so much bds you let your passions distort practical conservative politics. Thank God Texas keeps getting in done for the rest of the nation.
Nice try. Your (bizarre) claim was that my statements about Bush were all false.
"You ought to be able to come up with at least one true claim. You failed. you stated.
Among my statements was that Bush pushed for Amnesty. That's obvious to anyone who read a newspaper during the Bush years. It's not even a remotely controversial fact. But somehow you're not aware of it. So to begin your badly-needed education, try out these links - two of hundreds on the Internet.
(The first link is from the Bush White House).
President Bush's Plan For Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Former President Clinton Praises Bush's Push for Immigration Reform
As for Bush admitting a record number of Muslim immigrants. You weirdly said that was also false. But of course it's true. Another fairly well-known fact that somehow escaped your knowledge.
The number of Muslims admitted under Bush was greater than under Clinton. The number should have gone down to near zero after 9-11. But instead Bush did nothing effective and it went up.
Next time you're tempted to blurt out "false", try to have the faintest clue what you're talking about.
Yeah. Used to laugh at my Libtards friends and the “ bush is stupid “ meme.
I’ve got an aviation background myself and NO stupid person ever piloted a a 60s era fighter and survived...
Amnesty is a term of art applied to anyone who does not adhere to an unknown standard of reduced immigration to the United States.
No rehearsal on that obvious fact is needed for anyone on this board.
You dodge the fact that Reagan signed into law massive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.
That man remains revered by conservatives.
I will not cede one inch of ground to you because the absurd notion that Bush is some sort of coward, infidel, fool, or traitor is not simply inaccurate— it is obscene.
Until people start standing up to this kind of plain nonsense, the nation will continue to spiral down the political sink of cynicism that you and others like you are pushing us all toward.
I will fight you word for word parse for parse.
You have nothing accurate. you walk blithely away from Congress 911 report— NOT BUSH”s.
You shift the amnesty debate to a question about Muslim immigration. Good idea but it does not change the increased border enforcement or fence allocations that the Bush administration enacted. The original question was what has Bush accomplished. It was not a question of what do we all wish he had done. Such wishfulness is at the root of faux conservatism. The brave gusto of ‘what I would have done . . .’ Frankly, I care rather little what you or some unicorn conservative would have done.
As much as it may break your heart to know this, there are muslims who hate and despise Islamic supremacism. As much as it may break your heart to know this, more muslims have been killed by Islamic supremacism than non-muslims. That does not mean we should not empathize and protect non-muslims through immigration provisions— which the Bush administration also increased— but we must understand that Islamic supremacism is a universal global threat. Even Jefferson, when he constituted the US Marines to attack the pirate bases at Tripoli, utilized moderate muslims to attack and overthrow the regime there. We have done that consistently and we will continue to rely on such individuals. Many very conservative people have made this same point.
As a Christian, I strongly support Ted Cruz’s statements about protecting Christians at the Values Voter summit. Ted Cruz is a practical political alternative in 2014 and 2016. I don’t go back in time to try to bash Reagan, I loved and still do love Reagan. He was a great conservative— of his time.
Obama’s governance should be clarifying for the BDS crowd that Bush was heroic in his leadership. Instead we get folks like you digging in their heels desperate to prove Bush the traitor. He is not. You are the one making yourself look foolish. Bush was the man in the political gap. Too few are willing to stand there, but many are happy to criticize how he stood there. Its frankly embarrassing.
Again as I have said a thousand times on FR, I have no beef with anyone saying more should have been done or could be done. But I am not going to trot off into lala land of how great a conservative Reagan is but that bad dude traitor Bush is evil.
That is of course the eerie silence of your post. The absent alternative. I provide tons of alternative ground in my analysis. You leave us with the standard faux conservative abstraction of absolutes. Well, someone will absolutely do the right thing on immigration. Really? What exactly is that?
Some others have said that Roberts should not count as an accomplishment for Bush. I think it is fine to criticize Roberts decisions. I don’t think it is smart to imagine or by default prefer appointments by John Kerry.
As a Texan, I can tell you clearly who is a better senator Cruz or Cornyn. But I am not going to pretend I would prefer Feinstein.
Your initial argument began with the standard hyper sarcastic listing of Bush accomplishments. You do this as a faux conservative because you would rather anonymously pose on the internet as some ideal absolutist than as someone who offers practical alternatives to current problems.
The hell America confronts presently could have begun with much greater earnest in 2000 had Bush not been elected. There is zero doubt in my mind that the nation made a good choice in President Bush. I still believe his leadership on Iraq and the broader war on terror proves everyday to be more true and valuable.
Your attempt to isolate me as without a clue is the agony and joy of FR. You have no real idea who you are dealing with. You pose and pose. I am open to learning something. Its why I hangout on FR. But your post is not telling me much. Muslim immigration to the US has increased and will likely increase in the future. I am not surprised. I did know that. Many muslims— like the Vietnamese during our war there— sided with the US. Guess what happens when we succumb to the cowardice of the anti-war crowd? It needs no explanation and it comes to no surprise that many muslim allies want out of the world Obama left behind.
If Bush is so bad, take up your honored position in the Obama administration. There are openings there I understand. There is no individual more principally committed to proving that Bush was a Bad president than President Obama. Go and take your place there.
Stop wasting your time here.
