RE:”New evidence of ancient multicellular life sets evolutionary timeline back 60 million years”

No wonder I cant remember back that far anymore.

It changed the future, err our present.

Amazing stuff. Studying early organisms is really challenging because most were soft tissue with no hard parts to leave fossils.

One would assume that from the start .. when a single cell organism reproduced you would have some that failure to separating completely and would form the first quasi multicellular organism.. there would simply need to be some advantage to that arrangement to start to dominate.

I believe there are similar deposits in UK but not a clearly imaged as the Chinese ones. Very exciting and it puts the Cambrian explosion in perspective.

So, another discovery is made that challenges the theory. Another day, another hundred million years added for the theory to remain plausible. Que sera sera say the old folk.

Or, maybe the theory is flawed and constantly expanding the time horizon is an error.

all of this talk of cellular biology overlooks the burning question. Is the term Hokie a slur on good ol' American turkey's?
