This is the shocking moment when a policeman shot an unarmed man during a traffic stop for not wearing a seatbelt.

Sean Groubert, 31, who as a South Carolina State Trooper at the time of the incident shot Levar Jones on September 4 on Broad River Road, in Richmond County, Columbia.

Groubert ordered Mr Jones to show his driving licence. When he reached into his car to retrieve the document, Groubert started shouting and opened fire with his semi-automatic handgun.

Is this another suppressed story 0bola has to release nationally with Jarrett at a later date, like, October surprise? If so, it will cause riots.

If the officer did do this, he should be in jail for permanence.

<><><><

The video is out there for all to see. Suppressed? That’s funny. It’s was the lead story on local news channels 1000 miles away, and was shown in the first 5 minutes of all of the national morning programs this morning.

Looks like shame on me for ignorance; that said, I can’t watch the news anymore (national) as I don’t believe a word of it.
Glad no rioting has occurred...I’m sure H0lder will get involved.

when I got pulled over, I put my keys on the dashboard, kept my hands on the wheel until the officer told me to reach for my wallet. I was carrying but he didn’t ask and I didn’t tell. In PA you don’t have to inform police when pulled over.

I was living in NYS at the time and when I took my CCW class, we told that it was always a good idea.

Irresponsible policeman. Downrange from his target is an suv, possibly having a small child, also the door to the station is opening, then he discharges off camera left - more fueling vehicles maybe. Out of control LEO. He is a danger and should be dismissed.

“That cop should have asked if the subject had his license on his person; if he said it was in the vehicle, then said subject should have been assisted in ‘assuming the position’ on the hood while the cop retrieved it.”

What! You’re nuts! For a seat belt infraction? There simply is NO JUSTIFICATION for what happened here. The cop is out on $75k bail and is being arraigned on attempted murder! There is no reason for any connection here to either Travon or the Ferguson shooting.

“Imagine how he might have acted if he had known it was NOT being recorded.”

Yeah, he would have emptied the gun! And BTW, just where did the three rounds that missed the driver go? They were in a service station! I hope the bastard cop does ten years, you or I would!

“Not all cops are a$$holes.”

Oh really? Show us all your data on the subject. In my admittedly very limited interactions with cops, I’d say 90% are a$$holes who are all hyped up on their “authority.”

“In the end I predict the cop is found to have followed departmental procedure.”

Not in this instance. He’s been fired, arrested, charged, and is out on $75k bail. The gubimint is going to pay big time for this a$$hole’s behavior!

Not all cops are a$$holes.

Not all cops are saints either. There are, I am sure, a fair percentage who never should have been police officers in the first place. And it sounds like this guy is one of them

He is a danger and should be dismissed.

Apparently he was. And has been charged with the shooting.

Back in the "old" days of drivers ed in school, we were taught what to do when pulled over. We were told to put hands on the wheel at the 10 and 2 position.

However, the cop is a total idiot.

May I politely suggest you are a moron?

Many people get pulled over once, twice in their lifetimes. This is a situation with which they are not familiar, initiated by someone with a car with "pull it over" lights, a ticket book, a badge, and a gun.

He's presumably been trained and has pulled over a motorist before.

Might it not be a better idea for the guy with all the power, control and gun to "utilize some baseline intellect?"

Are your lips chapped?

My take, the cop screwed up royally and should pay for it, his victim has.

It is 100% the fault of the officer.
He was looking to shoot someone. Remember he stopped that guy, not the other way around. He told the guy to get his license. The officer was arrested right away so the police know he was in the wrong.

The person he shot will get a million for this.

Many years ago, heading to work one morning, I was pulled over for doing 60 in a 45 (no traffic at 5:00 am). The state trooper asked for license and registration. Am glad I advised the trooper, before opening the glove box for the registration, that I had a BB pistol in there. He was real concerned but said, Move slowly. No problem.

I agree with that. Plenty of cops should have never been cops.
This moron was a trigger happy clown. Like I said on an earlier post—why did he allow the moron to get out of the car—or order him to do so??????

“... why did he allow the moron to get out of the car ...”
-
It is obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about.
Did you see the video?
The driver was already out of the car before the officer approached him.
You are trying to defend the un-defendable actions of the out of control cop.
