We seriously need to get a handle on our borders. This would go a l-o-o-o-o-n-g way towards increasing national security.

Well our POTUS, CIA, NSA and FBI did such a great job with the Boston Bombings.

Your faith and confidence in the fedzilla bureaucracy in general, and this regime in particular far outweigh my own.

Imo, the only thing we know for sure is that it hasn’t happened yet. Tomorrow might be a whole ‘nother story. We don’t know, yet.

I have zero faith and cnfidence in them. But this is not about them. It’s about such a report hitting the general public.

Imagine you were in a subway gettting ready to board a train when you first heard about this. The problem is that this went public.

With so many traitors in places of power, why should they keep us informed?

Yep. You’re correct, of course.

I, personally, would have benefited in no way what-so-ever from an alert that caused me to use situational awareness to help promote my own survival in such a situation.

We are all just simple, stupid sheep and must do nothing but panic when there is possible danger coming at us.

Always best to just let our betters do all our thinking and worrying for us.

Ummm, shades of Bengazi, “we weren’t aware of any impending attacks, it was some crazy video that set them off”...

Obama just can’t afford to be so clueless anymore that the higher ups all around him are fo eating his tail.

Sadly, I don’t believe my government’s comments on this matter, I believe the Iraqi PM.

I’m correct, but not for the reasons you listed.

You don’t alarm the public unless the warning has at least some credibility. Otherwise we’d be getting this sort of stuff on a constant basis.

Shades of the NY subway plot from 2009.

Bush had warned him about it before he left office but Obama had no intention of stopping it.

Then, what a coincidence, Air Force One flew over NYC and everyone said Obama was mocking 9/11. Obama promptly fired the Bush holdover responsible.

Then the Brits warned Obama about the plot.

He still didn’t stop it.

It wasn’t stopped until August of 2009 IIRC.

No evidence because of a failure of our intelligence, or no evidence because there is no plot?

Or, perhaps there is no evidence because this kind of thing is so unbelievable for the kind and gentle peace-religionists to conceive of doing?

That happened near Houston today. Someone posted on FB that someone was going to shoot up the school and the cops guarded the school all day.

I cant really tell from the article, if it is our official U.S. position that:
1) this is the first they are hearing about it...
or
2) they are doing their best Sgt. Shultz impression, the old I see nothing, hear nothing and know nothing...

The Regime is being very confusing about this. They said no evidence of imminent threat (or words to that effect), then FBI said not so fast, then the State Dept Harf woman double-talked on CNN, IIRC. I have no idea what to think.

Yep. Sudan offered Bin. Laden to Clinton several times, and he completely shunned them.

Yeah I was thinking, I don’t necessarily trust the Iraqi government, but I definitely don’t trust our current illustrious leadership.

Hmm...
