Cops are not getting better, they’re getting more and more like the SA. As the government gets worse, the muscle of the government, the cops, keep pace. I no longer give cops the benefit of the doubt. I simply assume they are no more trustworthy, honest or honorable than any other element of the bureaucracy.

Muir_Redwoods...concur 100% with your approach. Interactions with police are becoming increasingly adversarial in my experience.
It is *RARE* that I am pleased to see a police officer nearby as "protect and serve" is a notion of a bygone area.
Years ago, one did not encounter the steroided-up, shaved head, angry, and tactically-outfitted officers that are quite commonplace today.

The officers of my youth were nice guys who lived in town.
They were friendly, courteous, decent, and completely approachable.
This radical change in unnerving, uncomfortable, and undesired. They certainly lost the ability to differentiate the "good guys" from the "bad guys" along the way.

I wondering if the PA trooper may not have been of this same ilk? I know it sad but why am I not sad when one of them gets his clock cleaned? I haven’t had any particularly bad incidents to do with LEO’s.
