The officers of my youth were nice guys who lived in town.
They were friendly, courteous, decent, and completely approachable.
This radical change in unnerving, uncomfortable, and undesired. They certainly lost the ability to differentiate the "good guys" from the "bad guys" along the way.
Obama promised a civilian force as powerful as the Military. He has now armored-up the union-member, steroid-poisoned cops and he has his domestic enforcement tools to quell dissent and control the masses.
The Bundy ranch fight scared them. They need to be scared sh!tless more often.

Officers years ago had their problems. But most were equally fit in the office as well as the patrol car, both in appearance and conduct. Now? Most cops belong as bouncers for dives.
I wouldn’t hire most of them for any professional position, on the grounds I want friendly welcoming people. Not people who’s circumcision scar starts at the base of their neck, and looks like a movie start SEAL.
But the average cop can’t see any of this.
