The family of Glen Doherty, one of the two Marine SEAL contractors killed in the 2012 Benghazi attack, are taking matters into their own hands and suing the CIA and the State Department for $1 million each, according to The Washington Times.
Three other Americans were killed in the attack, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith, and CIA contractor and former SEAL Tyrone Woods.

This could be good, as it might force some of the information out in another venue than the Congressional investigation.
Correct. The discovery part of a trial often uncovers a lot of unwashed linen.
Good! Excellent! I hope they get every penny.
It isn’t enough
Good luck, Doherty family. It’s not nearly enough, but I pray that you get every penny of it, and inspire the families of the other three to do the same.
[ Good! Excellent! I hope they get every penny. ]
Sad thing is the bill will be forwarded to us taxpayers....
I would rather the money be given to them by stripping the pensions of “her thighness” and “the won”...
I hope they get every penny and punitive damages to boot.
“It isnt enough”
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, 1 mil sounds kinda light............unless the $$ is only part of the reason for doing it.
Seriously the amount is low enough that they might just settle to avoid having that laundry aired.
Why not a billion or several billion? Get their attention!
Not quite massive. That would be $1 billion. But this might force legal disclosure.
They should get that plus Obozo’s pension, since he can’t draw it in jail anyway.
Massive would be $1 Billion
$1 million is chump change
If the authors know this little about the subject i would suspect the rest of the content.
I suspect the money is a very SMALL part of it.
Good for you, Doherty family! You, as a family, have “standing” in a LOT of civil suits that the courts would throw out (or already have thrown out) if it was any one of us, claiming that we have no “particularized injury”. You have lost your son, and that gives you particularized injury to sue over all the things the courts tell us are “nobody’s dang business”.
Go there, Doherty family. Please, on behalf of all of us. Be the face of everything we’ve said matters - and been rebuffed in the courts because we’re not dead yet. Some of us tried to protect your son from the foreign enemy combatant in our White House, but the courts said it was none of our business. There’s no way they can claim it’s not YOUR business.
“Massive would be $1 Billion”
In before Dr. Evil
That was exactly my reaction. You can be one of those things, but you can’t be two, and you certainly can’t be all three. There are maybe three people in the whole gang of mediots who can report intelligently on military matters.
