Saw someone with one of those hang on handicap tags hanging from the rear view mirror. Person got out and trotted into the store. I approached her on it and she got p*$$ed and said “I’m shopping for a handicapped person” and I replied “then you’re not handicapped and just took a spot a real handicapped person could have used - you’re a piece of work” - she goes away saying “deal with it” -
I took care of a truly disabled friend for 6 years and had no qualm about parking in a disabled parking.
I was usually in a hurry to get back her her home with the medicines she required and every minute counted, as I was required to get back to her home post haste, with her meds.
other time, when I wasn’t pressed for time, I looked for regular spots.
it’s circumstantial, with exigency some times.
Last week, I caught one of those handicap types parking
in one of our spaces far from the front door.
I kicked her ass.
