I agree. I ride and I love to ride but I obey the same laws as required by vehicles. Even though my bike is capable of pretty high speeds, I don’t ride fast. I also run front and rear lights. Most cyclists are good and obey the laws but there is a group that feels like they are entitled and everybody else is wrong. It doesn’t matter what happens, they feel the cyclists is always in the right and the pedestrian or motorist is always wrong. I’m lucky because I’m in a rural area and motorists are always respectful to me and I am to them. I don’t need to mention, I guess, that most of the jerk cyclists I refer to are liberals living in large liberal cities.

Should those who ride bicycles on the same road with cars, that don’t understand that their $4000 bicycle is no match for a 2000# vehicle, on “any” road, be riding their bicycle on the road?
You might think common sense would trump ‘special rights & privileges.
