Thousands of Syrian Kurds and Arabs pushed through the Turkish border Friday as they fled the Islamic States latest advance in Syria. By sundown, the militants had taken more than 60 villages in northern Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Islamic States rapid tear through these villages in recent days, toward the city of Kobane on the Turkish border, prompted calls for international military support, and specifically from the United States, for the Syrian Kurdish fighters.
We are in desperate need of the American strikes, said Redur Xelil, the spokesperson of the Peoples Protection Units (YPG), one of the Kurdish groups fighting the Islamists. There is now an international alliance under American command to fight ISIS. I think it is time to hit them.
The YPG forces have been battling the Islamic State troops for more than three days in these villages. Xelil said his fighters weapons are no match for the looted American arms the militants took from fleeing Iraqi soldiers in June.
ISIS has highly advanced and sophisticated American weapons. We need weapons too, said Xelil. ISIS is now aiming to take over Kobane as they aimed to take over Erbil.
The first U.S. strikes against ISIS were in support of the Iraqi Kurdish peshmerga forces in August as ISIS approached Erbil, the de-facto capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq.

If only the 1,000,000,000+ peaceniks in the “religion of peace” had a 2nd amendment. The 31,000 head-chopping “hijackers” of the “religion of peace” wouldn’t have a chance. America’s fear-mongering, foreign policy psychotics should just fax them over our 2nd amendment and then resign.
The advent of ISIS shows that we as people have just about run our our course. Some of the pics on another thread were the most horrifying thing I have seen in all my years. Spiritually, we cannot survive with an evil like that in our midst..
Obama's Iraqi Fast and Furious.
On a biblical scale...
They have to be eliminated from the face of the earth.
An independent kurdistan in current iraq is increasingly probable. But to extend that land border into current Syria, Turkey or Iran, at least in the foreseeable future isn’t. That said, could kurds in mentioned countries not ‘immigrate’ to iraqi kurdistan to live should iraqi kurdistan achieve independence?
So what happens when the IS fighters arrive at the Turkish border.....
And Turkey a NATO member....
ISIS had a good day, unmolested by their Enabler in Chief in the White Hut.
Those arms weren’t just looted, many were probably supplied to the “moderates” in Syria.
An Islamic moderate is one who only slits your throat, but doesn’t cut your head all the way off.
Perhaps we need to tell McCain that.
We can’t attack ISIS in Syria, because that would be helping Assad.
“....we cannot survive with an evil like that in our midst..”
.
The First Amendment of our Constitution prevents us to eject this evil from our society. It tells us to learn to live with it.
Europe however, does not have a Constitution and, it if has the b*lls, can go extremely violent against any intrusion of their social order.
The US is an easier target than the EU is.
These folks are no different than the fanatical Japanese in WWII. It took two nukes to bring them to heel..
If they completely take over Syria, then bomb ‘em real good.
