I totally agree with everything you said.
Right before Easter, I was shopping at Wal-Mart for something, and the person in front of me had a WHOLE BUNCH of candy, Easter baskets, etc. that were substantially paid for with her EBT card. Probably they were going to take the kids to a charity egg hunt or something, as well.
But I know this stuff happens every day, and the liberals think it is great that the “poor people” are not being denied a little pleasure in life.
Turns out that it is just us working fools who are being denied any “pleasure” such as being able to buy “extras”.

Someone should come up with a t-shirt saying “How about thanking me for your EBT groceries?” and the grocery stores would be full of people wearing them.

Its been way above $4 a pound around here (Western MA) for a long time. Same where I live.
This must have been written the first year King Obama was selected.
The only thing sometimes under $4.00 are the 3 or 5 pound tubes of mystery meat with pink slime.

With ground hamburger so expensive poor Moochie and King Jug-Ears have to eat Kobe Steak and lobster instead.

sorry for the typos , but Im typing fast and pissed off.Right there with ya. Last time it happened to me, I just looked at the woman and said "You're welcome!"
Of course, that garnered dirty looks all around me, but I really don't care. We should come up with some kind of card that says "You're welcome" to hand to those that profit from our work.

Actually that is a good idea, maybe I should get some cards made up saying you are welcome , please enjoy your food what I helped paid for because my family can’t afford what you get for free.

It grates me to no end all of that.
I’m at the point now where I just don’t care and have said things to the cashier, or to my wife so the person in front can hear me.
Illegals work for cash, never pay tax and claim welfare while shopping with bundles of cash clothes, others on food stamps who have kids get free breakfast and lunch at the schools, so why do they need food stamps, and that is not including all the hand outs from the churches, Red cross, salvation army like at thanksgiving.

That’s gotta be the price for 70/30 ground beef. I’ve seen 93/7 over $6/pound.

The scarcity is artificial, but it further confirms the worthiness of the plutocrats. Are they all Democrats? No. They support both parties. Are they the food stamp recipients and homeless? No. Food stamp recipients and the homeless don't have enough influence to control politics or sponsor the "news." Are they among the imported hordes of foreign slaves? No. It's not them, either.
Who is "low information?" Think about it.
The problems are caused by regulations and wrongful fees against most people engaging in productive activities. For example out of millions, a very old ranching couple was recently deprived of nearly all that they owned over false allegations of neglect of cattle.
Have fun. Enjoy the slide.

I can’t even find a pound of ground beef. All the local grocery stores have disguised the price increases by selling 10-12 oz packages, which really screws up recipes.

A friend who used to own a restaurant gave me his recipe for cooking a beef brisket, so when I went to the grocery store last week, I asked the butcher if they ever got briskets in. He had two, but when he showed me the price, both of us almost dropped our teeth. $7.99/pound, untrimmed (with fat cap) — so since it was a little over 7 pounds, the price was nearly $62.00. For a single brisket?!?! Butcher said, no wonder they weren’t selling. DUH.

I’ve learned to ask in the meat department if the ground beef is “market ground” or not. If not, it means it is taken from large rolls of ground beef what could contain most anything. Market ground is supposed to ensure it is ground daily at the market from chuck and other cuts.

That is another great line. George C. Scott played a great part as well as Peter Sellers. The B-52 scenes were fun for me because I was a “Buff” Pilot in the 60’s. Hollywood did get away with a lot of artistic license throughout but the film remains in the top 100 of all time.

I strongly suspect it’s the price of oil that is causing the high prices of food.

Butter is about $10.50 for four pounds at Costco. About a year ago, it was under $8.00 for four pounds.
