Barack Obama tonight urged Scottish voters not to break apart one of the closest allies well ever have by voting for independence on Thursday. The dramatic intervention, just three days before Scotland goes to the polls, will infuriate Alex Salmond - with the battle for independence set to be decided by the smallest of margins. Up to half a million voters remain undecided - with concerns over the future of Scotlands place in major international organisations like the EU, Nato and the UN still hotly debated.

Alabama wants in too..
Everything Chairman Zero touches turns to Detroit.
Alabama, Arizona, Texas and Florida
Can I move to Texas if they leave Chairman Obama domain?
That's Commie 'one size fits all' reasoning.
the common denominator is BIG CITIES - where the lib /Socialists herd together. (They are 'herd animals" - need propping up with other herd animals - no individualism.)
There's plenty of us Conservatives out here in the country side - don't flush us down the drain with the rest. (You'd throw us ALL out and keep Chicago, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, for examples?)
If you espouse in the Individual and individual freedoms, you should understand that the division is between the big cities and the country folk - instead of just parroting the worn out mantra re the "Northeast..." .
really so tired of the 'lumpers'
I think you will see a lot of people move unless other States leave too.
That sounds sooo gay.
Queen Victoria Facepalm.
so both Soros and O’loser are against Scot independence. It must be a good idea then.
I thought only arrogant cowboys like George W. Bush deigned to try and tell other countries their business.
Thalla!! Truis a-mach!!!
In the nicest possible sense of the terms, that is.
Made up my mind which way I’d vote.
Its retarded to have the areas vote who do not propose to leave. That’s a decision solely for the people who may or may not want to depart. Unless of course you believe that people should be able to force others to remain with them.
The Confederacy was less than 1/3 the population of the USA, and their decision to not participate in the 1864 election was self imposed. But if they had participated they still would have lost.
Consdering that Scotland is the farthest to the left of all the British Isles; I would think that Obama would encourage them to vote yes. At least he will be able to deal with a country that is run by fellow travelers.
I really dont have an opinion on the Scotland vote.
I do have an opinion of whether or not our President voices an opinion on an internal national matter of another country.
I know we do it all of the time. But I still don’t like it.
We need an independence vote here too.
We had one. It was the election of 1864. The Union won.
Can we take care of our Islamic enemies before we do a re-do on that one?
Obama might be in favor of Scottish independence if the uncrowned king of Scotland were still alive, but Idi Amin died in 2003.
