I find it disturbing that the NFL is being led around on a leash by the media. Granted, it's partially because of their past policies and inconsistancies, but they should've taken the lead by now.
The Ray Rice case leaves me unfomfortable. He went through the courts and had court-approved counseling as the outcome. That should've been spelled out before the media feeding frenzy got out of control.
It was fine for the NFL when they had the media in their back pockets but now the media is having to actually do their jobs since TMZ has been breaking these stories and it’s not looking good for the NFL.
We have extortion plots, murders, thieves, child abusers, spouse abusers, etc. who have always been there but certain people in the organizations have covered it up and now the media just can’t anymore without looking culpable.
judges are far too lenient on celebrities and athletes
They have successfully jumped the shark from a professional sports league to a 24/7 TV/internet drama with all of the . media frenzy that involves. They've been a headline story for weeks now, and the NFL's ticket sales and TV ratings will be the same regardless of whether or not Ray Rice and Greg Hardy ever suit up again for their teams.
