Obama's disjointed ISIS speech was about saving his presidency. He is sinking fast... It may already be too late to save the SS Obama......teeming w/ second term disasters....the toxic brew of his Obamacare lies, middling economic growth and violent global breakdown....
....the public has tuned him out...they no longer trust him and don’t think he’s a good leader.....a tsunami of recent polls amount to a vote of no confidence.....his plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegals was put on hold to try to protect Democratics from voter wrath in November.
He has been wrong about virtually every major issue. His worldview, his politics, his prejudices, his habits — they’ve been a mismatch for the country and its needs. He has been a dud even in the one area where he seemed a lock to make things better, racial relations.
The lasting image will be his yukking it up on the golf course minutes after giving a perfunctory speech on the beheading of James Foley. It revealed him as hollow, both to America and the world, and there is no way to un-see the emptiness.
Of course, there is a possibility that America could rally around in a crisis. But a national consensus requires a president who is able to tap into a reservoir of good will and have his leadership trusted. That’s not the president we have.

Actually, what that shows is how powerful the media can be. The media created a false reality around Obama and hid his lies and deceptions. Think about all of the unanswered questions about Obama, not to mention the many questions that were never asked. Contrast that with the hit job on GW Bush over Katrina and WMD's.
I don't have much hope that this revulsion will lead to a real political awakening. Libs are incapable of seeing reality because all their assumptions about the world and everything in it are wrong.
America has come to the realization that the greatest threat to national security, to the very being American, is Barack Obama and his hapless minions.
Compared to ISIS, the greater existential American threat is Barack Obama. Historians may debate the issue as to the cause....... was it because he was fantastically incompetent or because he was black or all of that.
The fundamental change wrought by stomping on the law might never be reversed so long as there is a New York Times or NBC network to deceitfully call a rotten apple a beautifully ripe orange. The America that was is no more.

Bingo. Until the people tune out not only Obama, but liberal policies in general, the ship will continue to sink.
Better believe it as the general public never has been too bright to begin with, never was and never will be. What we need is a drastic change from the way things are to the way things should be but I don’t have high hopes as many of the republicans are not a whole lot better. All we can do is to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Should socialists prevail this once Great ship the US will flounder and finish its trip down to the graveyard at the bottom, and join the rest of other nations who have made a similar trip before us.
People and societies in general are not a whole lot different, perhaps some years back we were different, but over time we have squandered what set us apart and we have become more and more like ‘Them’ and in the process killed the goose which laid the golden eggs.
Hillary is 67, Biden is 71, Bernie Sanders is 74.
Since 1920, of all the presidents who were first elected, as opposed to being VP and taking office when the president either died or resigned, ALL of the Democrats were YOUNGER than 53; ALL of the Republicans were OLDER than 53.
No question---has to be factored in.
One of the reasons I think getting Democrats to question everything is a good strategy (see post #18).

I thought that I was the only one that used the “ship be sinking” line.It is nice to know someone else remembers it.
In my mind it is exctly what is happening.
The worst job I had in my 8 plus years in the Army was Systems Maintenance Officer. Our equipment was post-Vietnam, no money for parts, facilities were virtually nonexistant.
After one month on the job, our Deadline Report was four pages long. One Jeep had so many things wrong with it, I coined a new acronym for the Army: MFB (M----r F----r's Broke).
Battalion HQ was not amused. lol
The Obama Administration is clearly MFB.
The other day I heard that someone asked Obama, “What’s it like to be the last black president?”

He was bound to fail! It is/was impossible for him to "succeed". Lies, stupid policies, more lies, digging in heals where he should compromise.
In a speech supposedly to inform the Americans and the rest of the world, what the US strategy for dealing with ISIS was going to, it was appalling to hear the Loser-in-Chief start rambling about 401(k) retirement accounts being higher because the stock market went up. I could not believe my ears. Really, what the heck does US unemployment have to do with ISIS? It doesn’t. The speech was all about Obama - nothing more, nothing less. He even had to throw in his two cents about his religion - that ISIS was not Islamic. Pathetic.
