A new Washington Post-ABC poll found that 72% of Americans strongly disapprove of the Republican party yet the GOP could still take control of the Senate after the upcoming midterm elections. Those seemingly disparate results likely come from a mixture of voter apathy toward Republicans winning the Senate and a 54% disapproval rating of Barack Obamas handling his job.

I am to the right of Fransico Franco.....He was a tad bit squishy on the whole Muslim thing.
What do they do? What do they believe in beyond the personal advancement and accumulation of power and wealth by the party insiders, elected and unelected?
I normally vote GOP, because the Democrat Party is a criminal gang. If the Democrat Party wasn't a political party, it would be under RICO investigation. The GOP is not so organized or focused. I expect no progress from the GOP as it currently exists.
Republican Über Alles, right?
GOPbot.
” Republicans simply dont know how to be winners, worrying too much about appeasing the opposition and too little about their constituents reasons for giving them their positions.”
Furthermore, when they are given the opportunity to lead, they, unlike the RATS, don’t step up and move forward with an at least right of center program. Instead they fret like Chaing Kai Shek did in China about the fact that they do not YET really have enough “power” to implement their program. “Just another election or two to solidify our positions and we’ll be right there with new solutions.” So they sit around until the voters get wooed back to the “free $hit” philosophy, and vote the RATs back in, who do know how to pursue their agenda given the chance.
I suppose folks won’t want to hear this, but here goes anyway.
Traditionally, I have spent my life wishing the Republican party had control of the Executive, and Legislative branches. I thought this would better the nation, particularly the courts, and better legislation.
Then came the lurch to the Left in the GOPe and the RNC.
Today I fear who these entities will influence the big money players to back. If we get a John McCain or a Mitt Romeny or a Christy, what then?
Imagine a White House with John McCain in it, with a Republican controlled House and Senate.
Illegal immigrants would be legal within three months. Other Leftist pipe-dreams would be drafted and passed as well.
Name one thing that would be rolled back. Insert “Jeopardy” soundtrack here...
Crickets!
If we don’t get a Conservative in the White House, the Republicans will finish off what they Left has nearly done on its own.
The Republican Party has betrayed their constituency with their cowardice to defend and pursue anything of value. Patriotic Americans are left feeling alone, hopeless and disgusted so yes they deserve a high disapproval rating.
One always knows what to expect from a democrat but a knife in the back is far worse. This all began with John Robert’s and his supreme betrayal and republicans have not dropped the sharp instruments yet.
Exactly.
That was a very thoughtful post, and a good description of our modern reality.
Well stated. Hear! Hear!
32% think it would be a good thing if R wins senate. 25% think it would be a bad thing. That 7% delta is what has the James Carvilles of the world pulling their hair out. Hell I don’t like the R party either but I would rather be beheaded by ISIS than vote for a democrat. Ever.
She didn’t care if the whole world looked.
Your comments as well as all the others who contributed to this thread were wonderful. If the GOP could take note of the what we are saying, it would not all be wishful thinking.
For what the DemonRATs have done to this country, they should have been gone a long time ago. They are worthy of the road apples of history cleanup clowns.
If I were to give a prize for the best comment given, you would get one. As I said in opening comments, “this poll is being used to demoralize Republicans.” The Communist media always uses polls to sway opinion. The way they design their polls work as a propaganda tool not only with the results but also their affect on the respondees. It shows their callus disregard for the truth and their cynical representation of their polls as truthful.
Congratulations!
