If you dig into the ongoing events...you start to see that the health-care workers in Africa...are dying at a fairly rapid rate. So, there’s not some big pool of semi-trained guys waiting to step into the mess there. And our answer? Send in the US Army....which means our own guys will get the disease...end up in the US eventually, and help transmit it in bulk situations to the rest of American society.

The committee members requested HHS tell them by Sept. 26, why the administration’s warnings have become more dire

I think I see a problem right there. Private industry would want an answer by noon tomorrow.

“HHS has poor intelligence and a bad attitude, like most of the president’s cabinet.” says GOP House Energy and Commerce members.

“We don’t know and we don’t care.” replied HHS.

Screw all that. I want to know what the symptoms are. What does the disease do? What are we watching out for? Do we get a fever and chills, and little bumps? Does our skin slough off? What organs are affected? Are there any tests?

We are getting very little information. We know what measles does, measles is a virus, so is chicken pox, so is hepatitis in its many forms. So is a cold and all the types of flu. We don’t see massive numbers of deaths from any of these viruses. So why are we scared of ebola?

So far, less than 3000 people have died, out of a world population of seven billion. That is a negligible percentage. Sorry, 3000 people. Maybe they were already sick, maybe some had other problems. All we hear is a death toll, and we are expected to get all worked up. I think it is made-up news.

Cynic mode engaged.

Problem: America is a tough nut to crack. If they try to institute martial law, grab guns it will start CW2 and give American Patriots the moral upper hand for defending themselves. Global warming, lying about guns, taking over education, indoctrination, seeding Islamic terrorists all over, creating violent drug cartels, etc has not worked to disarm and pacify the population

Solution: Create a perceived crisis that will allow them the ability to institute martial law, bring in international support, allow them to fire on US citizens, confiscate guns, contain, lock away groups, etc.

Possible method: Create a manufactured medical crisis that allows the moral use of deadly force and tyrannical methods against Americans.

It’s only a coincidence Ebola is the focus group’s scariest disease -isn’t it?

Cynic mode disengaged.

If the Ebola virus is such a potential major epidemic that is spreading, then why not eradicate the central source?

I know this sounds like a SciFi plotline, but the virus is not curable and is spreading so alternatives should be on the table.

Use tactical nukes set for detonation at about 1000 ft. above ground and let the radiation wipe out the virus and all of those in the areas of Africa who are infected.

I expect I’ll be slammed here for even suggesting that, but what other solutions are there for a potential world wide epidemic?

This is ridiculous. I suppose IQs, no matter the ideological label, suddenly dropped in DC (without regard to the ‘law degrees’ & morals/ethics discussed in a prior thread).

Think about it: CDC is demonstrating incompetence on a massive scale with LABORATORY samples and this government thinks it’s a wise idea to bring infected individuals to the HEART of the country, rather than some hospital ship parked safely offshore where medical personnel can be positively screened & quarantined to guarantee there is no mistaken ‘release’.

So WHY isn’t any lawmaker asking the $MILLION question: Why are we bringing the infected HOME when our own CDC can’t control a lab sample?

My question:

Who do they blame it on when the 1st Ebola case is reported here after being first squelched & denied?

Nay. We’re presented with news for consumption, to control the populace and gradually prepare us for an outbreak with stupid questions as in the title.

I’m not buying it...

“Last week, Dr. Thomas Frieden, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), warned that the Ebola virus is ‘spiraling out of control’ and ‘moving faster than anyone anticipated,’”

Well, it looks like Africa has a problem.

Thank God it's not our problem... our country's broke and we can't afford to play 'BIG MAN - CITIZEN OF THE WORLD'.... Let's hope Frieden doesn't have delusions of grandeur...

For an evil freak like “I rule” O’bambi, open borders have advantages. Lock down this and lock down that... Medical care to states and cities based upon race and politics for the next election.
