This entire story sounds like something you’d hear about in the old Soviet Union. Is she on a waiting list for a better apartment? Will she get one if she is related to the local party leader?
The Great Society has done so much for these folks.
Sure, if he figures out how to pay for it. When I was a college student I paid for my housing, food, and expenses--worked nights and holidays. I shared my bedroom with other students.
Who does she think should pay for it? Me?
ah yes- obamaland 2014...not only is this woman entitled to a roof over her head- she's entitled to the roof of her choosing at the expense of others....good to see her son works...he should be able to kick in $125/month for rent- as I helped out my mother when I graduated from college 30 years ago...
quote “Next thing theyre going to tell me is that Im not entitled to a roof over my head”
wow...
that pretty much sums it all up doesn’t it?
“...that her son, a college student who works to help with food and utilities...”
I love the “going to college” bit. It really makes the story plausible doesn’t it?
A welfare cheat with spawn that works and earns an income...but can’t afford another $250 for rent...in a house that was originally for a single occupancy purpose that is paid for by the public. She already broke the law about it and now tells another lie about her spawn.
Tell this “college” kid to get his ass out, find a job and work to provide for himself. Then (if that dream ever occurred) he could look for a college student loan and THEN go to college.
There are millions of young people who were unable to go to college due to the fact that they had to work 40 hours a week to exist and could not go to college due to many factors, all of which, pertained to the work they were doing or the financial situation faced.
Boo-Hoo! I am crying my eyes out over her calamity. /Sarc
My son works hes not entitled to have his own bedroom? she said. Next thing theyre going to tell me is that Im not entitled to a roof over my head.
Honey, you’re not.
They really do think they are entitled to other peoples money.
Must be they caught up with her and started counting her son’s income.
The well is low, the spigot is being turned back.
New York Times throwing a pity party for low income democrat voters... Can we assume if her son’s chipping in that his income is also counted toward the ‘thirty percent’ ... The Times doesn’t seem to care...
Her son works. How much rent is she charging him? Subsidized rents should be based on HOUSEHOLD income, not hers alone.
