ACTUALLY TITLE (TRUNCATED TO FIT): Rotherham abuse scandal: Grandfather of victim tells police chief: 'If I had a gun I would shoot you'
Victims of child sex abuse in Rotherham confronted beleaguered police and crime commissioner Shaun Wright on Thursday as he faced angry calls from members of the public to resign.
The victims accused Mr Wright of turning a blind eye to their suffering, while the grandfather of one young girl branded him a disgrace and threatened to shoot him when he appeared to answer questions at a meeting of South Yorkshire's Police and Crime Panel.
The man, who said his granddaughter was abused by four men who were later let off by police, shouted from the public gallery: You were a disgrace, mate. If I had a gun I would shoot you."
Later the panel, set up to scrutinise the work of the PCC, passed a vote of no confidence in Mr Wright. It said it had also referred two complaints about him to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
The IPCC, which can investigate PCCs if there is evidence they may have committed a crime, said it was assessing the referrals before deciding whether to proceed with an inquiry.

Democrats and Libertarians are inciting violence against police in Ferguson and elsewhere because they don’t turn a blind eye to crime based on race.
Disagree. In six months, this will be largely forgotten

>> ‘If I had a gun I would shoot you’
What a load of BS. Empty words for a pathetic society.
But let's watch and see.
“Instead of shooting the feckless police chief, save your anger and shoot the Muslims.”
Better still, since both the cops and the muzzies are guilty, shoot both!
Yes,they should. But I'm inclined to think that committing them is more serious...even much more serious.
One of the worst things that the Brits ever allowed was letting the government disarm the people.
I hope the day never comes when I have to say those words.
“One of the worst things that the Brits ever allowed was letting the government disarm the people.”
True, and right up there with disarmament is allowing the Muzzies from “Commonwealth Nations,” to immigrate. They need to reverse both decisions. The Muzzies are not there to “assimilate,” they are there in their 1,000 year quest to take over the world and kill anyone in their path. And they are not alone, other European countries with “colonies,” are in the same situation. Only the Netherlands, thus far, seems to be taking first steps to reverse their failed immigration policies.
The “good news” here is that there are far too many guns in private hands to attempt to round them up. Any politician who thinks that’s possible needs to channel Admiral Yamamoto of the Japanese Navy.
3D printed guns may be coming to UK just in time for the few remaining men to restore their country.
People from that pathetic country are on FR. We don’t insult your country with such phrases.
No, they didn’t. And people here will believe the latter half of your second sentence.
Beg pardon?.
What have I done wrong?.
Well Sir, I suggest you check out the gun laws in the UK and also stories about blunt end knives. Thank You.
PS - read: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10220974
As a UK gun owner, I know the laws and whats legal better than anyone here. In fact I am constantly posting the laws for US Freepers.
As for blunt end knives, you get them all over the world, inc the US. I don’t quite get what your point is regarding this.
I can not for the life of me understand the “patience”, if that’s even the right word, of the British people in tolerating this obscene behavior on the part of government officials.
Has this happened to one of my children I wouldn’t be showing up at council meetings saying such things. I’d have already started doing them and wouldn’t stop until I was caught, dead, or none of the perpetrators and their willing accomplices were left.
Can you help me understand this? The question is posed sincerely. Is there something I don’t understand about your culture?
Thanks.
We’re too polite and laidback. Too slow to anger.
