A group of Middle Eastern Christians booed Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, off the stage after speaking in support of Israel at an event in Washington, D.C.
The event, sponsored by the group In Defense of Christians, was billed as a gathering of Middle Eastern Christian leaders.
They were trying to raise awareness about the threat to Arab minorities by the Islamic terrorists.
Cruz spoke about Christian solidarity with Israel and standing against terrorist groups like ISIS.
But some in the crowd were Palestinian Christian supporters of the Syrian government and even the terrorist group Hezbollah.
"Those who hate Israel hate America," Cruz began before being interrupted by jeering from the audience.

"My heart weeps that the men and women here will not stand in solidarity with Jews and Christians alike who are persecuted by radicals," he responded.
At one point, the moderator interrupted, saying, "Please, respect for dialogue. Respect. Please, we're in America."
Undeterred, Cruz said "If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews, then I will not stand with you. Thank you and God bless you."
Is anybody really saying "Ted Cruz booed by Christians"?
Is that really what anybody takes away from reading these articles?
"Arab Christians" is the usual way of referring to ... well ... Christians who are Arab or Arabs who are Christian.
It's been that way for a long time.
Just say "Arab" and people assume "Muslim," which isn't what these people are.
And Ishmael’s mother was probably descended from Ham. Ham’s descendants settled in Egypt and other countries in that area not long before then. So they’re not compeletely semitic. And contrary to revisionisms, semitism wasn’t originally about language. It’s about descendants of Shem.
The other threads did NOT include the Arab part. It makes a difference.
And this thread doesn’t leave out the Christian part.
I do see that thread from CBS that left out the "Arab" part. That's just wrong and deceptive on their part.
Some of the others say "Middle East Christians" and that's similar to "Arab."
At the top of the editorial sidebar and there most of the day is this: "Ted Cruz Is No Hero For Insulting A Room Of Persecuted Christians "
And there was at least one earlier article that basically said that Cruz was booed by Christians:
So, the answer to your question is YES.
That is why balance was absolutely necessary in my view.
Danny Thomas was anti-Semitic??? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I saw him in the 1952 version of The Jazz Singer just a couple weeks ago!
Honestly, I have never heard of Danny Thomas being anti-Semitic, though apparently most (chrstian) Lebanese-Americans are.
To be truthful, I don’t know about Danny Thomas, but his daughter, Marlo is a nutjob leftist anti-semite, and I figured she got it at home. Have known lots of Lebanese Christians, and in San Diego, we have a lot of Iraqi Christian known as Chaldeans, and they are almost all anti-semitic. It must be some ancient hatred that gets passed down to each new generation.
got that right, I lived up in the north east for a few years and many of them would say they were Christian and then defend killing babies, homosexuals etc
Yes most impressive speech from Cruz.
Jesus is still a Jew.
Yes, I'm well aware of the anti-Semitism of Middle East chrstians, and of chrstians historically. Unfortunately, Fundamentalist Protestants are the exception.
However, we were talking about one individual: Danny Thomas. I'd never heard of him campaigning against Israel or having any but the best relationship with Jewish friends and fellow performers. It'd just break my heart to learn that that was so.
I'm wouldn't be surprised that he might have been a liberal, however. Exhibit A is his daughter Marlo. Exhibit B is his joining the Masons, which is forbidden by the religion he practiced.
It’s really hard picking the right tense for someone who walked the earth, died, and then resurrected....alive again forevermore. Do you pick a moment in time or do you pick eternity? Gimmeabreak! :>)
Jesus is still a Jew.
lol... and he isn’t a christian...
Danny Thomas was a friend of Israel.I suspect that he quietly hated the PLO for destroying Lebanon, his ancestral family country.
Remember, Marlo Thomas is married to Phil Donohue, one of the stupidest liberals I’ve ever heard. She probably got her radicalism from Odumbo.
This is exactly what my Jewish colleague said today, as explanation for the Arab Christian behavior. In essence, it is a defense mechanism to try to alleviate persecution. He says the "self-hating Jew" is the flip side of the same coin, which often happens as they try to assimilate in foreign societies. He said it is often below the conscious level, so that the people aren't merely saying these things, but actually believe them.
The truth is like sunlight to a troll for satan and his minions.
Mostly likely some form of Catholicism
Is it possible that those who were booing were muzzies and not Christians?
I get ya!
I was thinking here are these arab’s claiming to be Christians and missing the fact the Son of God they say they are following is a Jew, how can hate Jews and follow the head Jew?
