One of the great champions of the black community is Father Michael Pfleger, head pastor at the Saint Sabina Church on the southside of Chicago. Father Pfleger often works with another man for whom I have tremendous respect: Min. Louis Farrakhan of The Nation of Islam. Together, these two men provide beacons of hope for black families everywhere, while much of the Chicago elite simply tap dance around the most persistent problems in the African American community.
One matter that Pfleger has addressed consistently is the need to get guns off the streets that are being used to murder so many young black and brown men. These guns are often supplied by manufacturers who “accidentally” lose the weapons that make their way onto the streets at relatively cheap prices. The tactic is a simple reminder of how weapons manufacturers in the United States have been able to profit from bloodshed for well over a century. When there’s violence, there’s money, so it honestly appears that they don’t want the killing to stop.

Completely unaware that bit of history. After a quick mention of Father Pfleger and Farrakhan, my eyes glazed over.
I was just referring to the old Rowan & Martin spy bit where Dan would give Dick a detailed list of instructions of where to go, and Dick would ALWAYS say, “You lost me at the bakery.” Dan would always reply, “We didn’t go to the bakery!” However, it looks like the Nation of Islam operatives DID go to the bakery!!!

But of course! Companies..er excuse me Corporations make BIG money all the time ‘losing’ products so they don’t receive any compensation for them.
You just don’t see how the cost of producing a product pales in comparison to the money they don’t make accidentally letting things get lost.
Not to mention the big bucks they make getting investigated by the ATF for all that inventory that goes ‘missing’ – paying all those lawyers reams of Dinero just rakes in the cash by the those Corporations.
But they really make those green backs hand over fist when they get sued by the victims of those ‘missing’ guns.

So, gun manufacturers who cant keep up with legitimate demand and have, in some cases, months of backlog with licensed dealers, let a portion of their desperately needed production slip out the back door so they can commit felonies on a grand scale via illegal distribution. Is that the story here?

I’m guessin’ if he had been at the shopping center in Memphis recently, his little friends would have knocked him out too for being white.

I live in an area with a very high firearms ownership rate but a very, very low murder rate. If it's not the prevalance of guns then what is it?

Cardinal George is very ill, and announced he has asked Pope Francis to begin looking for his replacement. Pfleger, I felt made some inappropriate remarks when this was announced. Whoever replaces the Cardinal I hope sends Pfleger to Nigeria.
