Long before these kids were born, they were sentenced to become livestock for the Democrat vote farm.
In the US, one of the wars we are fighting is against young street thugs who are glamorized and enabled by an excuse for culture that disgusts me. As such, I recognize that they will end up dead when people defend themselves, as we must. I don't feel bad about the loss of someone commiting these crimes.
But I am saddened and feel a sense of loss that these situations continue. With higher expectations placed on these inner city thugs, perhaps they wouldn't have to be gunned down....for the survival of others.

Why are they so dang stupid? Every single time, it seems, that one of these kids tries to pull themselves out, the rest pull them back down into the mud.
Even the smart ones are terrified of looking “too white,” a nice little code for speaking well and wanting to learn. It’s such a waste of potential talent as a cynical vote getter.
Plenty of young, male, white or hispanic thugs out there too. The hispanics keep themselves to themselves mostly, but the white thugs all seem to try to be ghetto black.
Lord alone knows why. It’s not lack of opportunity in education. Parents, maybe? Usually parent, singular? Lack of faith in themselves or in the Lord that makes them band together in feral gangs to give themselves something to belong to? Just wish I knew.

but on the use of “teen” in the media.

You are quite correct. The media (and the Left, but I repeat myself) always does this. Change the meanings of the words to set the narrative.

I wouldn’t blame the parents. There’s never been a shortage of kids who enjoy being mean. Sometimes they band together in gangs. If they don’t grow out of it they fill prisons or just go on to successful criminal careers.
True. Plenty of thugs from good homes. Not necessarily two parent homes, there are brilliant single parents, but the majority are from dysfunctional/broken homes. In those cases, the kids want to belong to something. Anything. A gang is a surrogate family.
