Another article talked about Chuck Hagel saying that China and Russia are trying to build up their military capabilities - increasing their military budgets as the US swells all its spending EXCEPT for one of the few things mandated by the Constitution: defense. It said that Russia is developing planes that can evade radar.
If the Islamist terrorists are able to somehow disable the transponder so that a plane is invisible to radar, one of the only deterrents might be if they knew a Russian fighter plane could also be lurking undetected, ready to shoot them down before they do their terrorist act...

Seems like Libya is definitely the center of the operations to get serious weaponry to the Islamist terrorists. Was it just 3 years ago that Ghadaffi was one of our top allies against these terrorists? And Obama singlehandedly, without so much as asking Congress, turned that place into a hellhole that is threatening the entire free world. Three years of work by a foreign enemy combatant in our White House, and the world is turning upside-down.
And Congress picks its collective nose.

Not only can those planes be used on suicide missions, but also haul militants from place to place.

No ignorance at all BZ. It's a valid question. I think the answer is a very clear YES, but only because Muslims do not care about the survival of the plane or those on it. If your question was whether the planes could be used to DROP a nuke, and fly off... then I'd say the answer is NO.
Nuclear weapons do not need to smack into the ground to work. In point of fact, they are designed to go off above the ground, just before impact, to maximize their damage. Putting it in a low-flying aircraft, and detonating it on board the plane, a thousand feet or so in the air, would be just about right for killing the most innocents, which is their goal, as always.
Then Obama doesn’t need the US military officials to let him detonate one of our own nukes over the US. He can let the Libyan terrorists do it.
Have any of our nukes gone missing? Or there’s always North Korea, Pakistan, etc...
