"This does not appear to be a hate crime," West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley said in a press release,

Of course if it had been 20 white men beating on one black man, then it WOULD have been a hate crime.

That statement is incredibly shocking.

What would it take for this to have been a hate crime then?

Was he offensive to blacks?
Did he insult a black person inside?
Did he make disparaging remarks against blacks?
Did he spill something on a black person?
Did he try to steal the woman of a black man?
Did he do anything to inspire the attack?
Did he steal something from a black?

No.

So absent all this there is only one reason for the attack?

Incredibly, this nut-job couldn’t add two and two come up with four.
