Apparently it was recently discovered that Kennewick man was basically Polynesian. Perhaps the day could be called “Polyamory Day,” thus honoring both Kennewick man and the proclivities of the residents of Seattle.
So rename it Redskins Appreciation Day instead.

Destroying national myths and traditions is a malicious hobby of the left - leaving a vacuum for murderous islamic myths, I guess.
In actuality, Columbus Day for many years has become a celebration of Italian-American culture almost completely removed from the real Columbus. Particularly in the tri-state area where so many of them live. I wonder if DeBlasio (a Kraut, actually) will try this.
Yes Washington is on the politically correct hit list.
In New Orleans, they deleted the name of George Washington School because Washington owned slaves. They renamed the school after some obscure king in African history.
No word though , if this move boosted the self esteem of the almost all black student body, or if it improved student achievement.

They “renamed” King County in WA a few years ago to make it named after ML King.

Once they get the “Redskins” part, they will go after the “Washington” part.

This is all about the anti-God crowd. With Columbus he brought missionaries. After Columbus the floodgates opened for more Spanish exployers, and with them of course more missionaries to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the New World. Without these early early Christian exployers the Arabs might have brought the word of Allah.
