Weve now moved to a new stage of the racist reaction to the police killing of Michael Brown: the largely overt assertion that he deserved to be killed.
In the immediate aftermath of Brown, though unarmed, being shot multiple times after being stopped while walking in the middle of the street, the ballad being played in some quarters went like this: we dont know all the facts so we shouldnt rush to judgment.
But, once the Ferguson police released the video of Michael Brown purportedly snatching a box of cigars from the convenience store and intimidating its clerk, that advice was quickly replaced by that old standby: criminalizing the person who was killed.
Now, the slimers have simplified their defense of Browns killing. He was not an 18-year-old teenager, but a man-sized Black male 64 tall and well over 250 pounds was a threat to public safety. In other words: a thug and therefore someone whom any White person should be able to execute with impunity.

Now think about it. How often do you think a white cop is going to shoot an "unarmed" black male in broad daylight in front of numerous black witnesses the way you described it?
I don't think anyone is claiming that they were equally armed. But if you are killed by fists, by knives, by clubs. swords, slingshots or spears you are dead. A gun allows the victim to defend himself.
Trayvon Martin was far from the height and weight of Michael Brown, but that didnt save him from being criminalized because of the most salient feature they shared: skin color. In other words, both were transformed into that fearsome monster of the White racist imagination: the hulking Black brute.
I have a friend, a white guy, who is smaller than either of these two dead men. He is quite capable of killing a man with his bare hands. Skin color is irrelevant. Skill and strength is.
He was running away, then cop gets out and yells “stop”, Mikey turns back and taunts, “You won’t shoot me”, cop shoots and Mikey charges, cop shoots some more........
does or doesn’t he have a fractured eye socket? Only his doctor knows for sure..............
Never say never, but in this case, it doesn’t look like he had to pursue
This prodigious waste of digital ink will continue until ‘African’-Americans’ get over themselves and make a decision: am I an African or an American...then act(and reside) accordingly.
You're saying the officer should have stayed in his vehicle after being physically assaulted? That stepping out of his vehicle to evaluate his predicament was an act of aggression?
Step out of his squad after being assaulted with his gun nearly taken away and one or more unintentional discharges occurred as a result of that assault?
By the way, BOTH of the perps attacked him in his vehicle.
He never "pursued" anyone. He staggered out of his vehicle after having suffered a serious head injury inflicted by TWO attackers. What was he supposed to do? Sit in his squad until they came at him again?
Plus, it appears that Saint Charging Bull had already been involved in one murder:
Criminals do that to avoid the surveillance cameras.
You passed the test. You're obviously not a criminal.
Mine too.
No but size certainly makes you a more dangerous thug.
Drive away?
Circled? This is the first I heard of that. If he was being circled, he shouldn’t have exited the vehicle
Reason I said hero complex is the idea that he had to deal with them both alone.
And two attackers? I saw a photo that supposedly represented a bracelet Darian previously had around his wrist but maybe, if it is the bracelet, maybe it fell off while fighting, maybe it fell off while getting the heck out of Dodge...
well, maybe maybe not, we don’t know do we?
nice
You're like a liberal... you get to pass judgement, and everybody else gets to STFU.
