Refusing to buckle to her worst fears, Joan Rivers daughter is keeping her fingers crossed that a miracle will bring the 81-year-old comedic legend back from the brink of death.

Do you not wish for Christians to pray to God that she be healed?
In case you missed out on comparative religions in college, Christians belive that Jesus is God Almighty. That is the fundamental tenet of the Christian faith.
If we pray to God that she become closer to God through a healing, then we are praying that she “come to Jesus”.
It’s not a secret language. It’s our Fundamental belief.
It is Hildy,I pray for her also whatever faith she is.I met with a Jewish woman who was dying, a few times and we would pray together. We talked about her faith as I knew little of the Jewish faith.May Joan pull out of this but I think her chances are slim to none.Went through this with my sister.
and what does that have to do with anything?
I certainly hope you’re not talking about the Jewish people...they are hardly a “minority”
I thought this thread was about Joan Rivers?
Are you offended when someone says Merry Christmas?
Joan Rivers has led her whole life as an active Jewish woman. To say what was said at the end of her life, and dismissing an entire belief system is insulting and disrespectful. You call it whatever you want. I’m done.
This thread is not about me or you. It is about respect for another religion.
No, the thread is about Joan Rivers being brought out of a medically induced coma!
As long as we don't pray to Jesus, right?
We claim the promises in Job 33 for Joan Rivers and that she will proclaim the name of Jesus as her Lord & Savior. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
How would you feel if you were at an event and the person giving the invocation ended it with, IN ALLAH’S NAME WE PRAY. Would you feel a bit “uncomfortable?”
I get your point, others here are being purposely arguementative. I find it highly unlikely Joan will come out of her coma proclaiming Jesus as her lord and saviour after spending her entire life being a Jew. In that end, May God watch over her.
Joan worked well all her life with Christians. Joan needs all our prayers in this travail of fighting for he existence.
All prayers respectively excepted, good Samaritans noted in the Bible, and appreciated for their well wishes.
Can never have too much prayer.
Yes. Joan Rivers..One of a kind. I pray for her and her family.

People do that. It makes no never mind to me. “Allah” is a false god. So why should I feel uncomfortable? We could play this game if you wish. What if we put in Norse gods or Egyptian gods? What about Budda? It still makes no never mind to me. I recognize that people will say such things. It’s their right to do so. I don’t consider myself important enough for people to change their ways for me. I’m not arrogant enough to insist on that. Furthermore, they aren’t psychically attacking me or threatening me. Therefore, I don’t care. Really, you’re making an issue out of nothing. Your supercilliousness and your determination to be a victim are quite tiring. All this fuss over a non-issue. It’s not even about you. This is about Joan Rivers. Somehow you hope to make this thread a tirade over all the supposed wrongs you’ve suffered.

Asking God to heal a person is telling them to accept Jesus? This is news to me. It’s like how people get offended over “Merry Christmas”. Seems like you’re just a trouble-making attention-seeker.
