Refusing to buckle to her worst fears, Joan Rivers daughter is keeping her fingers crossed that a miracle will bring the 81-year-old comedic legend back from the brink of death.

I don’t think she would be offended. She needs all the help she can get.
I like the way you put that and it keeps some of the rest of us from saying something we’d regret.
Thanks.
Offended? I just want you to know that when you’re Jewish being told you should accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior is not a PRAYER.
You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how stupid it is, and no matter how out of place it is on this thread. Nonetheless, you are an ass.
Why can’t you understand that Jews do not need to be told they need to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior? It’s just respect.
Nobody is telling Joan to do anything. They are praying for her, not telling her who to pray to.
Let’s get this straight..NOBODY is stopping anybody from praying to THEIR Father. If anybody actually bothered to read the post I was responding to we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Prayers for Joan. She can do it.
This was the first line of the post I responded to:
Father God, We claim the promises in Job 33 for Joan Rivers and that she will proclaim the name of Jesus as her Lord & Savior. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Joan Rivers is in a coma. This is not about your beliefs. We are getting off message here.
I think this is a prayer thread. not a bash thread.
Where did anybody say that? More importantly, where did *I* say that? What does that have to do with your throwing a hissy-fit over the pronoun “We”? I was addressing your stupid insistence that Christians change our ways to gratify you. No one said, “She must accept Jesus or we will off her ourselves”. Seriously, you need to calm down. We are extending our best wishes to an ill person. It’s nothing more than that. You’re attempting to make it more than that so you can whine and moan about being a “minority”.
I was responding to the first post. And since Joan Rivers is Jewish, I’d say it’s more about my beliefs than anyone else here on this thread.
How come you can’t extend your best wishes to an ill person without dismissing their whole life by saying they should accept Jesus? Can you just see how that can be a wee bit insulting?
Goodnight Hildy and may God Bless You!
OK,OK, I give up. You win. This thread is all about hildy, not Joan Rivers.
So, you’re worried that Christian prayer might offend... Joan Rivers, of all people? She’s a comedian who made a career out of being insensitive to people.
I’m not a fan, btw, because I don’t find personal attacks on people to be funny. Still, I offer prayer for Joan, her daughter and family, and the doctors and nurses who are caring for her.
Would it be disrespectful to pray for an atheist?
This thread is not about me or you. It is about respect for another religion.
Nobody is saying prayer is wrong. I always ask for prayers from everyone.
