Refusing to buckle to her worst fears, Joan Rivers daughter is keeping her fingers crossed that a miracle will bring the 81-year-old comedic legend back from the brink of death.

nobody really asked.
“My Daddy used to tell me that people who dont like Jews always end up revealing themselves. My Dad was the smartest man Ive ever known.”
My Parents taught me that people who don’t like most people or have a very short tolerance range and use verbal or psychological manipulations to put people in their “place” also end up revealing themselves. My parents would scold me if I ever worshipped them as the “smartest” people in the world” (”We’re just people...” would be the reply).
I’m a person...you are a person...and God is Lord of all!
My first instinct was that this thread should be deleted. It is enlightening, though, isn't it?
I'm Christian.
Actually, I have a hazy recollection that she might have been the first one I heard telling that joke.
Her daughter asked for prayers...somebody did ask!
Yes. Thank you for asking.
Not a problem. So is Jesus Christ.
Joan Rivers' daughter asked for prayers for her mother. Stars and stripes started this prayer thread for her. Apparently you didn't approve of his prayer.
Maybe if you offered up your own prayer for her instead of spamming the thread with your outrage about the first prayer that was offered, maybe God would hear YOUR prayer and deliver Joan from the valley of the shadow of death.
It certainly wouldn't hurt, would it?
OMGosh. So my Lady watched Joan.My Lady has passed on.She had no family so gave everything to us because a mailman recommended us.I am talking about possessions.Us meaning Catholics.I loved her.
Yes, this thread is enlightening...a Christian would not be offended at the prayers that Jews would make for their welfare...for that matter neither would they be if made by Hindus or what ever because of the belief that the Father above would guide their misdirected prayers to the proper place in His heart. A lot of Christians have a secret soft spot for that sassy lady and have a wish to see her well or if not...in Heaven. Jews of faith would recognize at least that such Christians mean no real harm; thus in their Jewish strong faith in God, would also recognize that the Father would also guide such “misdirected” Christian prayers to his heart as well!
Well, don’t get too excited. It was decades ago when I first heard that joke and the memory is quite fuzzy. I could very well be wrong.
Post #1 was not a prayer. I think we know what a prayer is. But thanks for the condescending explanation.
The devil is laughing
Post 1 was for conversion.I think that is the whole point of this disagreement is.Joan loved her faith and she was Jewish. We don’t have to convert our Brother’s and Sister’s to pray for them.
Yes, I think you’ve got it. Kudos.
What are you talking about? You’re talking to the wrong person.
God bless Joan and as a Christian, I also pray she comes to know Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.
The jewish people I know aren’t offended by christians.
