Does anyone have any idea where Saudi Arabia’s money is?
Hint, it’s not sitting in Saudi Banks. It’s invested around the world, a massive portion of it in the West.
So folks, who gets harmed with the West’s economic system gets screwed up as it did in 2008?
Saudi Arabia is not our enemy. The sect of Islam there is rabidly anti-US. It’s going to remain so. We damn well better be happy ISIS isn’t in control there.
If Saudi Arabia is voicing this concern, it’s for good reason.
Our fates are tied more closely than people know. The other more modern Arab states are as well. Think of the investment opportunities in the region. Think of the investment opportunities in the West.
They need us. We need some of their oil.
Saudi Arabia went to bad for us a number of times in the oil cartel meetings when we were heavily dependent on Middle-East oil.
It’s just laughable who fixated on Saudi Arabia people are. They have had business dealings with the West for a long time.
When the leadership of Saudi Arabia is no longer moderate, some folks are going to get a real shock. Then they’ll wish they had the Saudi Royal Family to deal with again.

Saudi Arabia went to bat for us a number of times in the oil cartel meetings when we were heavily dependent on Middle-East oil. Other nations wanted to triple the cost of oil. The Saudis argued for moderation. It reasoned harming the West would hurt if’s finances too.

yep, the saudi royals had nothing to do with 9-11. The royals probably had no hand in funding of the proposed mosque at ground zer0 either.
Is that you, George Bush?
Saudi Arabia is not our enemy

You see, am of the view that neither the leadership of KSA nor most of those in the the Gulf Sheikhoms are ‘moderates’, theologically. Economically though they run like corporations. Islamic State (IS) is increasingly aiming to do employ a similar (but not exactly same model). A big difference between IS, KSA & Gulf Sheikhdoms is the former is not recognised as a formal ‘nation-state’ by another country, yet. Noteworthy is that IS already has its own Minister of Finance and rules over approx. 8 million people in Iraq & Syria combined. — http://online.wsj.com/articles/islamic-state-fills-coffers-from-illicit-economy-in-syria-iraq-1409175458
this is true
Most of the behavior that some people have deplored, here, reflects not hostility to America or Americans, but efforts to resist Marxist influenced radicalism in the Near & Middle Easts. On the subject of such, I am reminded of the old saying, I believe attributed to one of the Iroquois Indian nations, "never judge a man until you have walked at least seven miles in his moccasins."
Almost all of our real enemies in the Near & Middle Easts, gained power in over-throwing earlier monarchies, since 1950. (Examples, Egypt under Nasser; Iraq under Sadaam; Iran under Khomeni; Libya, etc..) There are many reasons why given the vast ethnic variations in the region, that an intelligently led monarchy is desirable in the region. For one thing, they have been far less apt to slaughter ethnic & religious minorities--far less.
