Neurosurgeon Ben Carson is continuing to hint that he will run for president in 2016, though pledges that if elected he wont become a politician in the traditional sense.
I will tell you that Im not a politician, and I dont believe in political correctness, Carson told the crowd Friday at a political summit in Texas. So I may say something that will offend someone. And I frankly never plan on becoming a politician. It doesnt mean that I wont do something in public office, but I wont be a politician in the process.
Carson made the comments Friday afternoon in Dallas at Americans for Prosperitys Defending the American Dream Summit.

There you go, LOL. ;)
Cruz is my choice too.
Hope things are well with you Catherine.
Ben Carson is a brilliant surgeon and a humanitarian. I know 2 families, personally, who have benefitted from his skill with pediatric cancer conditions. I dread that his success will be used by crappyass politicians (and “marketers”) to HINDER the conservative work that Carson actually supports.
Yup, understand. But he sure isn’t the choice of those who control the GOP money and machinery.
They are, manc...thank you, FRiend.
How are you, and how is your wife?
That’s true. They’ll foist Romney on us again if they can manage it.
The moment you run for office you’re a politician. We have made it a dirty word. Newt Gingrich says that politics is the romantic notion of how a free people govern themselves. I am proud to call myself a politician. It is the art of getting these done.
doing good, very busy with all the kids etc.
Have a nice weekend Catherine
As a Marylander I would definitely vote for him for senator, and I hope he runs. After a successful term as senator I would consider him for president. That being said, if he won the Republican nomination for president by some miracle, I would vote for him in a heartbeat over ANY Democrat.
And I mean ANY Democrat.
You, too, manc.
Like the bumperstickers say - RunBen Run
President?
No.
The Nations Doctor, the Surgeon General?
Now that might work.
.
Ben Carson previously stated that the right to possess semi-automatic weapons should be dependent on location and should be banned in heavily populated areas.
I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and Im afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it, he said in an earlier interview.
I can’t vote for that.
This morning he said there should be federally funded daycare. Ugh! Sonsa...
I wish Newt’s depth of knowledge, guts, and political insight could be transferred into another person who would run. As it is, Newt is old damaged goods.
I like and respect Dr. Carson. I just don’t want to see him run. I don’t think he would be successful in politics. I simply don’t think he is suited to it temperamentally.
I could be wrong. God knows I have been before.
Isn’t Ben Carson the guy buried next to the grave where the gold was buried?
Spoken like a true politician.
I was opposed to him running, but I've changed my mind. He won't win, and the MSM will try to destroy him, but he will be a welcome addition to the primary debates. Running will increase his fame, and that's good. I just hope he understands the risks.
There is a chance, albeit remote, that the sheeple might be ready for a non-politician who can talk through the enemedia bullish*t smokescreen. I am trying to imagine how the media whores can turn him into a monster the way they did Romney, Cain, McCain, etc.
