Neurosurgeon Ben Carson is continuing to hint that he will run for president in 2016, though pledges that if elected he won’t become a “politician” in the traditional sense.
“I will tell you that I’m not a politician, and I don’t believe in political correctness,” Carson told the crowd Friday at a political summit in Texas. “So I may say something that will offend someone. And I frankly never plan on becoming a politician. It doesn’t mean that I won’t do something in public office, but I won’t be a politician in the process.”
Carson made the comments Friday afternoon in Dallas at Americans for Prosperity’s Defending the American Dream Summit.

Carson-Cruz or Cruz-Carson would work for me.
Carson is not presidential candidate material. But he can be an effective conservative voice for the right candidate. I pray he has the wisdom to discern the difference.
Unfortunately he’s now saying we need more government funded child care.
Yeah, he was on TV the other night thanking Jesse Jackson for all the wonderful civil rights work he has done.

Agree. You cannot run for political office and not have a political ideology.
We have NEVER elected someone to the White House who has not held a government position of some kind (elective, appointed, military or a combination, etc.) but we’re going to start now? Mr. Obama wasn’t enough of a neophyte for us? I’m sure Dr. Carson is a nice man and a skilled surgeon, but that is besides the point.

Perhaps you missed the entire content of his comments to rev Jackson he thanked him for his work with Martin Luther king but differs with Jackson on the times and changes that have taken place since the initial civil rights movement. It is too bad that conservatives can not make a single misstep And their whole campaign falls apart we are too particular and hold these folks to such high standards. If this keeps up we will have only liberal politicians in charge. I for one give Carson a pass on this one. He certainly is do much more experienced than Obama and Hiliary

No offense to Dr. Carson, but what we don’t need is a guy who has never been elected to any office in his life running for President.

Sorry, I’m not interested in someone who doesn’t understand that Jesse Jackson and his ilk are enemies of this country. I’ve had enough of polite Republicans who simper and play nice with them. Jackson is nothing but a professional race pimp, a fraud, and a blackmailer. He wouldn’t pull Carson out of a burning house, but Carson, like so many Repubs, doesn’t get it.
