“The Obama administration did not know ahead of time about the highly unusual military intervention….” That’s how the Washington Post describes a recent series of airstrikes in the Libyan capital of Tripoli by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The secret attacks, according to the New York Times, were aimed at Islamist-allied militias battling for control of Tripoli; and they represent “a major escalation of a regional power struggle set off by Arab Spring revolts.”
In what could be a sign of increasingly strained international relations, the Times also reports:
The United States, the officials said, was caught by surprise: Egypt and the Emirates, both close allies and military partners, acted without informing Washington, leaving the Obama administration on the sidelines.
Some observers note that both the UAE and Egypt appear to be doing more to combat the rise of Islamist extremism than the United States.

Well, Egypt used to be an ally. I’m not sure that’s still true after Zero pushed out Mubarak and backed the Brotherhood government.
Obama doesn’t get to complain about folks who conduct airstrikes in Libya without asking anybodies permission first.
Yeah, Bammy should go stand in the dock at the International Court and complain.
Obama would have just advised caution and shot some hoops.
If he’s as upset about that as he was about Foley being beheaded, it’s likely to cost him a stroke on the golf course, maybe even two.
The USA is no longer a Player on the International Stage.
Egypt knows the truth about Obama, so why bother conferring with him?
What an inept administration. Not only does Obama spy on our allies, he sucks at it.
Obama probably would have given the terrorists (the ones we armed in Benghazi) a heads up that an attack was coming).

Barry hasn’t bolluxed everything on international affairs and it would be in our best interest if Arab Moslems played Whack-A-Mole for a while.
At least reserving any American escalation for the next administration.

Had they been stupid enough to trust the District of Corruption about the air raids President Jarrett would have instantly double crossed them.
What is in the ME is a Moslem Civil War. If the ISIS folks win it then it is a World War and ISIS/Islam will rampage through Africa and Europe before America will decide that it is at War.

It should be remembered that while the Muslim Brotherhood was in charge in Egypt, Obama and Hillary showered them with praise and provided billions of dollars in aid, arms, tanks and planes. Egypt has unceremoniously thrown the Muslim Brotherhood out of Egyptian politics.... and hasn’t forgotten the support offered to the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt has now charged Obama and Hillary Clinton for conspiring and collaborating with the M/B and advancing their terrorist activities. Hillary's pal, al Haddad, is also sitting in an Egyptian jail (reported by H/T Western Journalism).
