Haley, a young lady who was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at age 15, is a huge Tim Tebow fan. Shes wanted to meet the football star for a very long time.
So Tebows W15H program made it happen, and in the process, treated Haley like a princess.
The program is part of the Tim Tebow Foundations outreach initiative, which grants children with life-threatening illnesses the chance to meet Tebow, all the while fulfilling any desire they might have.
From the W15H website:
Each year, the Tim Tebow Foundation creates more than 20 official W15H experiences by providing deserving children with travel, accommodations, daily activities, meals, gifts and one-on-one time with Tim.
W15H has granted over 40 official W15H experiences at many venues including NFL Games, Award Shows, Disney World and more. Haleys visit to Scottsdale, Arizona, included an airplane tour of the Grand Canyon, pampering in a presidential suite, and the chance to throw out the first pitch at a Diamondbacks game.
Tebow was often by her side, prayed with her and her family, and spent quality time with them. His selfless act of kindness helped Haley forget about her illness, if only for a moment, and focus on being a kid and enjoying herself.
Isnt this just the kind of role model America needs?
Tim Tebow is a class act.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is a group of inherited disorders that affect your connective tissues primarily your skin, joints and blood vessel walls. Connective tissue is a complex mixture of proteins and other substances that provides strength and elasticity to the underlying structures in your body.
People who have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome usually have overly flexible joints and stretchy, fragile skin. This can become a problem if you have a wound that requires stitches, because the skin often isn’t strong enough to hold them.
A more severe form of the disorder, called vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, can cause the walls of your blood vessels, intestines or uterus to rupture. If you have vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, you may want to talk to a genetic counselor before starting a family.
I wish Tebow could throw like an NFL QB. He really walks the walk.
I still believe there’s a place for him and he will be back.
Not as a QB,in the vid, the girl threw a better ball. I liked him a lot when he was in Denver, but he ain’t Peyton Manning.
Nobody denies that Tebow is a very good individual.
Tim Tebow had every opportunity that John Elway had, but it’s too bad that he blew it.
At least John Elway made sure that Tebow received over ten years of high-level coaching, training and development just like he did. And, at least now we see Elway praying in public, quoting the Bible, starting his own Christian foundation, and doing acts of charity for kids.
Er, um, rather. . . yeah. Right.
I wish some team that doesn't have a player that can throw like an NFL QB would choose Tebow over some low-performing thug.
Tebow was plain and simply black-balled.
I have Ehlers-Danlos, as do two of my children and two grandchildren. It is no picnic. Everyone in the EDS community was talking about this yesterday. What a wonderful gesture by Tim Tebow! To be able to forget about EDS for a few days or even a few hours is so special and she will remember the experience for the rest of her life.
At least he had enough of a career to give him the kind of fame that allows him to do the kind of good deeds he wouldn’t otherwise get to do.
So many who do gain fame refuse to see the incredible opportunities to do good that it can bring.
Unfortunately, a class act indeed scorned by the American people
Cool! Haley throws better than soetoro.
dang allergies
and dammit to hell, wtf is this on the news ?
Couldn't agree more.
Not as a QB
....yeah, right. You might look for the ESPN Science guy who tested Tim after he worked hard for a year on QB fundamentals. He listed Tebow as one of the top 6 NFL QBs based on the accuracy, speed, technique etc...
He is indeed being blackballed by the Christian haters of the NFL owners.
ymmv
Tim doesn’t need the NFL to be a big deal!
Tim will be a big deal long after the current NFL thugs have blown through their cash and opportunities.
