Russians are part of the Ukraine. They should have a role in Parliament.
Not the traitors.
Russians should be equal citizens along with everyone else in Ukraine. But they should be loyal to Ukraine, not Russia.
“Russians are part of the Ukraine. They should have a role in Parliament.”
That’s how I see it. What is happening now looks more like ethnic cleansing than anything else. And the EU is clearly in favor of it, rather than helping to negotiate a diplomatic solution that benefits both sides. Isn’t that what they were set up for?
The ones who are fighting Ukraine should have no role in the Parliament. Since Crimea has been occupied by a foreign hostile power, I assume they don’t get to participate.
Ukrainians are the only parts of the Ukraine.
Russians live in Russia.
Where do you come up with this nonsense?
The Ukraine has been a sovereign nation for twenty years.
Nobody is denying Russian speaking people to be a part of the government. Get over it. Russia let the Ukraine go. It wasn’t some evil act.
Good grief, we tried for 70 years to get parts of Russia to become self-determining, and twenty years later we have the Russian apologists come in and try to support giving it all back. It’s nonsensical.
The Ukrainian people don’t have a right to be self-determining? Really?
A foreign nation should be able to come into a sovereign nation and call elections and take the territory based on that?
Where is that done on a regular basis? Perhaps you can enlighten us.
There are a lot of Spanish speaking people in the U. S. Do you approve of Mexico arming Texans and calling special elections along the border?
Russians who are not loyal to Ukraine should leave for Russia where they will never have a role in govt, that is the Russian way.
That depends on which Russians. Lincoln sure didn’t allow Confederates to have a say in U.S. (Union) Civil War policy decisions.
