Obama be killin America...one Burger King at a time.
Horton’s in Canada seems quite different than Horton’s in the US, which, at least a few years ago, seemed to be trying to out-Starbucks Starbucks.
I liked being able to get gravy on my fries at 2am when I lived in Toronto.
And Boston had Dunkies for directions.
It was to inoculate themselves from criticism for leaving the country to avoid onerous taxes as the Preezy is wont to do.
A handful of years ago Jon Stossel did an expose on business in China vs. the U.S.; bottom line, he had a business license and was actively selling widgets “legally” within 24 hours. The comparative piece within the U.S. was a horror show and I don’t recall if he ever got the widget company to sell anything.
Will the last business to leave the U.S. please turn out the lights.
My favorite fast foods are two, Wendy’s and Subway.
Could care less about either Mc D’s or BK.
The problem with BK is that it was caught in the middle between the two big sucessful fast foods: McD’s and Wendys. The former because it is a legendary fast food company and the latter because of the quality of its fast food. BK kinda was very, very conflicted in itself.
Dem Senator (Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio) Calls For Boycott Of Burger King, Tells Consumers To Eat At Wendys, White Castle
NEW YORK (CBS Cleveland/AP) Burger King says it struck a deal to buy Tim Hortons Inc. for about $11 billion, a move that would give the fast-food company a stronger foothold in the coffee and breakfast market.
The corporate headquarters of the new company will be in Canada, which stands to help lower Burger Kings corporate taxes. Such tax inversions have been criticized by President Barack Obama and Congress because they mean a loss of revenue for the U.S. government. Burger King and Tim Hortons said the chains will continue to be run independently and that Burger King will still operate out of Miami.
The deal would create the worlds third largest fast-food company with about $23 billion in sales and more than 18,000 locations, the companies said.
The comments are 99% pro BK anti Dem/taxes/brown.
When will Dem’s figure out that corporations don’t pay taxes, their customers pay them? This move makes BK more profitable, lower corporate taxes and their product prices will not decrease, smart move BK.
Just about every small town has 2 Tims. Caledonia has one at each end, and it only takes 3 minutes to drive through town! They get you coming and going.
Personally, I think McDonalds has the best coffee. I will drink Tims if it’s on the way. Starbucks - never. It’s like a large cup of burnt.
Nah, if it gets bad enough, King Obama will skip Holder and go straight for the magic pen.
We don’t have two—in fact we are just getting our first one. Of course, there are only 1200 of us here.
Bancroft, 45 minutes away, has been home of the nearest one—and they have two, though of course they have well over 3000 people.
I remember hearing within the past year that Timmies had become Canada’s largest corporation in terms of market capitalization.
BK has always been a chaotic company. I am amazed at the outlets I still see in business.
Their hamburgers never went down well so I have not eaten one for 7 or more years. I don’t eat at McDonalds much but I never felt funny from their bugers
You said it. Very sad.
They know, it's their idiot voters that don't know they're being lied to.
