Thank you so much Amy! We all know that time is precious - especially with raising a teenager! You have been such an inspiration to all of us, and I thank you for this wonderful prayer thread for Jaycee and her family.
JC would be so proud! Thank you, and all, who have filled these pages with prayers and condolences for our dear, sweet friend!
The picture doesn’t come up on my computer anymore. But it IS a sweet one, isn’t it?
Thank you, Amy.
The picture is still showing for me. You are talking about the one of Jaycee with Barry and Greg, aren’t you?
Yes - that’s the one. We have storms coming in - and computer runs slow when the weather is stormy.
Glad it is still up.
Ladies thank you for the thread sharing the sad news. Between no internet at home n my sorry ATT service with usually no service, I am rarely on line any more. Recall not seeing her on Facebook also for a long time. When u get to wifi for an hour or do it is a scramble n usually involves posting pix. I regret not being able to Face to face w/her. The couple times I was in Johnson City staying with friends she had back issues that precluded our meeting for lunch/dinner. We always hope for next time don’t we? Hello to all if the other sweet folks from Y’s. The Finest refugees n the great Canteen folk. Hugs/Love
Dearest Amy and Mama Bear,
I want to thank you for this beautiful thread. I have read each and every post and it obvious how loved she was on this forum. I also know how important it was to mom to refer to herself as a freeper and just loved Amys Place. I was always amazed at the things that she learned and taught herself all on her own as she would often show me; from posting and framing to using the html image tags. I know that a lot of her friends on Amys helped her as well and I thank you for that. I would often lurk especially on Caturdays and see what she and you all were up to as I am a cat lover as well.
The tears come and the tears go but sometime the smallest things are the ones that hit you the hardest. Just looking through my call log on my phone and suddenly seeing the last call that I made to her . tears .
I know that time will dry the tears and replace them with smiles and wonderful memories and some of those memories will be the enjoyment that she took in the friendships that she developed on this very forum.
If there is any one thing that I want you to know is that in her final moments both me and my brother Greg were with her. A singled tear came from eye and as I wiped it Greg and I took both of her hands and as she passed she squeezed them both. As we released our grasp I know that I was replaced by the grasp of the Lord and our beloved Father.
Our deepest appreciations go out to everyone on here. Though we may never meet face to face I want you to all know that if she was your friend then you are our friend.
On behalf of my brother and the rest of the family we again want to thank all you for your thoughts and prayers and may God bestow his blessings upon all of you!
Barry
I love you, though we never met.
But, of the Freepers I have met I loved them too.
And you were one of us.
May God take into the the warmth and care of his loving arms.
Barry, thank you so much
for sharing the picture, the video
and your heartfelt feelings,
with all of us.
Your mother was a very special person.
That’s a wonderful tribute to your mother. Thanks for sharing.
A beautiful lady, a gallant spirit, all of this time on Free Republic, and I didn’t know her.
But in these lovely images you have so generously shared, I feel in the deepest part of my heart that I have made a new friend today.
She seems gentle in spirit, but most radiant in love; and if the Lord is willing, I will be so happy to meet Jaycee in heaven.
I offer my sincerest condolences, heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of you.
Thanks for the pictures of Mom’s life, Barry.

Thank you, Barry. That was beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to write to us while you are in the midst of this.
