The Russian military has moved artillery units manned by Russian personnel inside Ukrainian territory in recent days and is using them to fire at Ukrainian forces, NATO officials said on Friday.

The West has long accused Russia of supporting the separatist forces in eastern Ukraine, but this is the first time it has said it had evidence of the direct involvement of the Russian military.

“And that’s the problem. We don’t have a Reagan on the horizon.”

Lets hope that person emerges when the time is right. Lots of good people in this nation; hopefully the right person will be in place at the right time.

Why SHOULD we do anything about it? It’s not like the Russkies are invading Canada. We have ZERO national interests in Ukraine. If Europe doesn’t like it, THEY should do something about it...

It’s often said, but it’s so true; we AREN’T the world’s ‘police department’. The Europeans can handle this. We can’t just sit back and watch this, unless a NATO country gets attacked, and THEN(and only then) do things change.

Glasses? You should have gotten a girl friend somewhere back around 20/40. Those beer goggles might keep you out of the COCKpit?

We don’t exactly have zero interest in Uke-—remember Chernyobel? It’s there and we’ve been helping clean it up. That’s important since we are downwind of the mess. Just for example.

How is it a NATO mission to go to war over non NATO nations?

"SHTF"

Not yet. It'll be quite a while. You see, the global business constituents in control of the politicians will hold the politicians back from allowing any action against the Ruskies, until enough of their pet foreign allies have been stepped on. And those constituents will suck up to the Russians until then.

Then, the stuff will hit the fan far more than it would, if action were taken against the commie/fascist expansionism now. Global business interests will prevent needed defense action, until the nukes fly from every nation with interests. Very few have a care about it at all, because this is the intensifying dump-on-your-neighbor regime.

Let it go to its conclusion, and may the world to come, come soon.

Our bipartisan business, academic and political leadership will want to send millions of American men to a near-future conflict as they did during World War 2: at nearly midnight, under skies full of toxic clouds, to a devastated and overrun Europe.

Yes, but the Ukrainians, with some support (not requiring us to make even the sort of effort we are making against ISIS) could do a lot about it.

Just like Russian jets zipping low over our naval vessels and off the California coast, because they know Obama is an idiot.

Do you think that Putin will be as bad as Stalin? Will he kill millions and advance communism and declare the new USSR a socialist state?

We have ZERO national interests in Ukraine.

You might have said that during the Cold War against the Soviet Union. But like during the cold war, we have to resist Russian aggression where ever it appears.

If the MidEast goes up in flames, and it could, NATO and the EU is going to need Russian oil more than ever. Wouldn’t it be smart to give Russia easy pipeline access to the Black Sea and not have to depend on Kiev keeping the oil flowing through western Ukraine?

I think Putin is fixing to set himself up as Tsar and is just laying the groundwork, working on recreating the former Russian Empire.

Agree; right now, we need ot preserve our own dwindling military and deal with our own domestic problems.
