A brutal natural experiment is underway demonstrating the role of race, riots, and radicals in determining whose death is noted, and whose ignored in racialized America when unarmed young men are shot and killed by police. While American and world media, along with the President and Attorney General of the United States, obsess over the death of Michael Brown at the hands of the Ferguson, Missouri police, few people outside of Utah have heard of the remarkably parallel and contemporaneous death of Dillon Taylor, an unarmed young man (and father-to-be) from a gun shot by a Salt Lake City policeman, whose name has not been released, but who has been identified the SLC chief of police as nonwhite.
Here are the bare facts of the death of Dillon Taylor, via KUTV, Salt Lake:
Dillon Taylor, 20, who is from Salt Lake, was exiting 7-Eleven with his brother and cousin, Adam Thayne, around 7 p.m. on Monday, when Salt Lake City police arrived, responding to a report of a man waving a gun in the area.
The officers ordered the men to the ground. Two of them complied, but Dillon, who police say matched the suspect's description, did not go down.
"It came in as a 911 call that there was a man with a gun," said South Salt Lake Police Sgt. Darrin Sweeten. "He was verbally challenged and ultimately was shot."
Sweeten did not release further details on the shooting….
No one has suggested that Taylor was involved in the commission of any crime, .........

Dead man was wearing headphones and may not have heard police command.
if dozens of whites protested the MSM will accuse them of racism since the cop was black and Sharpton & co would be defending the black cop.
Hope the family sues if the cop used unnecessary excessive force.
My friend’s nephew, Mat Jackson (white), was killed on his way home from work by an off duty Black cop. He was shot in his car, in the driver’s seat, completely unarmed, and left to rot there for hours before anyone in his family was notified. This was in San Antonio Texas about six months ago. Speculation that it was some sort of road rage; we’ll never know, as only one to tell the tale is left alive, but Mat was sitting in the driver’s seat, shot as he sat. Crickets.
Bill O’Reilly on his “talking point” opening monologue did a (shock of all shocks) bang up job of dismantling the MSM and many of the lies coming out of Ferguson.

Zimmerman was referred to by the New York Times as a “white Hispanic” (a term not usually accorded those of mixed ancestry). ABC News was accused of airing footage of Zimmerman shortly after his encounter with Martin that concealed the severity of Zimmerman’s head injuries. NBC edited a recording of Zimmerman’s 911 call to police in a way that suggested Zimmerman was a racist. CNN speculated that Zimmerman may have used the racial slur “coon” during his 911 call.
In the Brown case, the media has rushed to portray the victim as a “gentle giant” who was almost certainly gunned down by a racist, trigger-happy cop. Only days later it was reported that just minutes before his death, the 6-foot-4, 292-pound Brown had allegedly committed a strong-armed robbery, bullying and assaulting a store owner half his size — and had been almost immediately been stopped not far away for walking down the middle of the road...............”

EVEN IF there were rioting and looting resulted from the shooting, national news won’t touch it. “Local unrest”.
There is no demand of social justice. thus it’s not a movement.

That is creepy; did an investigation turn up anything? I’m the first to complain about security cameras watching out every move, but in stories like this you wish something was recorded. What was the one side of the story?
I read that the cop was indicted for murder back in February, but couldn’t find anything further. What’s the latest?
