The situation in Ferguson, Mo., has led to vastly different reactions between black and white Americans.
A new Pew Research Center poll shows many more African Americans than whites say:
1.The shooting of an unarmed black teenager Michael Brown by a white police officer "raises important issues about race" (80 percent of blacks and 37 percent of whites)
2.The police response to the shooting has gone too far (65 percent black, 33 percent white)
3.They have no or not much confidence in the investigation into the shooting (76 percent black, 33 percent white)
As we wrote last week, these kinds of numbers were all too predictable, as they have been repeated over and over in high-profile situations like those involving O.J. Simpson, Rodney King and Trayvon Martin -- in large part because black and white Americans have vastly different views of the biases of the American criminal justice system.
The most interesting data point in the new Pew poll, though, is that even at this very early juncture, Americans as a whole see the shooting of Brown as more of a racial issue than the shooting of Martin by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman....

If Wilson is convicted whites better care. But I don’t think he will be. Then there will be more and more rioting.
Basically there are going to be 2 choices.
1.) Convict him and appease the racist lynch mob crime lovers around the country.
2.) Come at them full force and put any riots down, violently.
We moved on to important things.
I think a better headline would have read:
20 percent of blacks and 63 percent of white have yet to be emasculated by progressive-liberalism.
Too many blacks have a real problem with responsibility. We saw that bully robbing a store and intimidating a store keeper. Thank goodness the guy called the cops and got a bolo out on the 2 thugs.
Just goes to show you the MSM had worked it’s magic.
If they begin looting, I am on the side of the police.
I feel bad for the police / they can’t seem to win right now. And, the gun control freaks would love to advance their agenda by getting more people to turn against them. I would never align with Holder, in thinking he would protect gun rights.
The President and all his boot lickers sure don't help.
He hasn’t worked a day since he was arrested years ago, IIRC.
“We moved on to important things.”
quote of the day
Blacks are now what percent of the population?
Do they include “ Hispanic whites” or just plain hispanics in the white pool of respondents?
What about Asians?
My guess is the Asian answers to the question would be “Mike who?”.
The WP and liberals are stuck in the past.
Salt of the Earth conservative living- people (although unfortunately not all vote conservative) are all ready living in a real “ post-racial” society. There are blacks included in that as well.
The time-warp leftists and liberals are the ones who still cling to their black/white dichotomies.
Another violent thug got himself killed by a cop by being a violent thug, same sh*t, different day.
I don’t care at all, except to say that I’m glad the dude can’t menace or hurt anyone else.
Thank you, Darren, for protecting those of us who are decent and at great expense to yourself very sadly.
When I see stuff like this happen I wonder if open carry is such a good idea.
2.The police response to the shooting has gone too far (65 percent black, 33 percent white)
3.They have no or not much confidence in the investigation into the shooting (76 percent black, 33 percent white)
How does the author of this piece go from these three premises to the very erroneous conclusion that "Whites are not very concerned about what is happening in Furguson?"
Specious reasoning, perhaps?
Regards,
+1. Exactly.
Here are some concerned blacks:

whites should care this is a direct attack on whites and their ability to defend themselves should they be attacked by a black person.
At some point every cop will walk off the job. If the law won’t stand behind them against riots and intimidation then there is no law for them to enforce.
