No, it was the recoil from the gun that whacked him in the left eye. Oh wait, he’s right-handed. Never mind.
/s (just in case)
I can’t believe this violent cop went so far as to throw his face at St. Michael’s fist!! /sarc off/
Right now I’m afraid that that /s is quite necessary. People right here on FR have been saying the most absurd things in defense of the “unarmed” thug since this broke.
In a double handed grip one would turn to the side to decrease ones own target area.
A righthand dominate shooter would be turned to the right, looking at the assailant from his left.
So... yes, the recoil would impact his left eye.
But yes, I know the argument is ridiculous in the first place.
But maybe he is left-eyed, so holds the gun in front of the left eye so the recoil *can* hit him there.
(I do hold the gun a bit off-center, for that reason.)
Seriously, when I first heard about this case, I withheld judgment, figuring that the whole story was NOT out yet. There is an interest on the part of those who put out such stories to cause civil unrest. I wonder if those purveyors of discord ever really think about what the long term goal of such tactics is (hint, it cannot result in a utopian society).
