The indictment of Gov. Rick Perry by a grand jury in Travis County, Texas, is part of a power struggle that originates with a serious crime, albeit not one committed by Gov. Perry.
That crime, as everyone knows by now, is drunk driving, and it was committed by Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg.
When Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, Democrat, was arrested and charged with drunk driving on April 12, 2013, her blood alcohol level measured .23.
That is just shy of three times the legal limit in Texas, which is .08.
According to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Lehmberg must have consumed about 10 alcoholic drinks in one hour to achieve a .23 blood alcohol rating.
District Attorney Lehmberg also had an open bottle of vodka in her car, violating Texas longstanding open container law.

From January 2012 to April 2013 15 months Lehmberg made 59 purchases of alcohol at various Twin Liquors stores, a rate of nearly one purchase a week.
She bought 76 bottles of alcohol. According to the receipts, Lehmberg prefers Ciroc vodka. Lehmberg routinely purchased 1.75 liter bottles of vodka, at a price of nearly $60 each. On occasions, she bought more than one 1.75 liter bottle of Ciroc at a time.
Those 76 bottles add up to 24.7 gallons of alcohol purchased over 15 months. The last purchase in the KEYE-compiled list was on April 2, 2013 10 days before her arrest for drunk driving, and the subsequent attempt to abuse her power by trying to intimidate the officers who processed her in jail. Lehmberg purchased vodka on that day. An open bottle of vodka was found in her car during her arrest.

Loved it back then. I was in junior high. It's funny you posted that pic, because I was very recently telling my husband about Belushi's Joe Cocker bit (he's never seen it).
That IS a very astute position, one that a person of faith would never dream of throwing rocks at...
The “end of days” IMO, is a state of mind (faith), that should not deter one from living the life given to you...It is the greatest gift and opportunity God gives any soul...
I do not dwell on which is already pre-ordained, I only wish to be as encouraging as possible to the truth, and your words are very true...
So, where does that leave us???
I believe our inalienable rights are granted by an authority greater than ANY government instituted among men...
Why not fight for them, why not have as much respect for life, as to take lives to protect others???
that is kinda a harsh way to put it, but only in your heart can YOU decide what is worth fighting for???
Death is only a shedding of this mortal coil, so not that being so flippant about the gift given to you, is worth throwing away on a whim...
It is faith in going back home which should be something to always strive for...We will never be perfect, and there will always be “red” in our ledgers...God knows this already and will judge you accordingly...
I am sure once you understand and do what is commanded of you, you are good to go...No one, even after that step, can be that much of a screw up...There are few things that we know of, and some that we don’t know of, that can be an eternity out of the sight of God (that is what Hell is)...But never assume anything IMO...
Being humble and appreciative of the gift of life is a big positive factor IMO, and the destructive nature of political power, whomever wields it...Is a hell on earth...
Having faith in things unseen is a saving grace for a lot of people...You know where that is found in our book...Heb. 11
It is what I always fall back on, not only in times of trouble, but in good times as well...
I believe our system of government has morphed into something as abhorrent as before it was instituted by faithful men...Those following that formation, obviously screwed up a lot of things in recent history, and the demise (of this union) may very well be our future...
So, what do we do about it???
Thanks for the ping.
This is gonna be good, so pass the popcorn, please, heheh.
I think that was the breath test done on the DUI stop. I read her BAC was .29 after she had blood drawn in the jail. I may be wrong, but that is what the local news reported as well. And they ain't conservative reporters.
Guzzling the vodka faster than a Soviet-era Party boss.
That was just at Twin Liquor stores. No telling how many other chains she visited and purchased vodka at during those months. Plenty of liquor stores in Austin and on her way home.
You got it. Use a large Sonic cup with the straw in the middle and you can conceal a 16 ox beer inside and sip as needed.
Actually, she had both according to some witnesses. She DID have an open bottle of vodka with no cap inside her car at the time of her arrest. This happened within a few miles where we used to live. One wrong move or a missed turn and it is 200' straight down the cliffs into Lake Travis.
Thanks for the ping. The Travis county dim chairman has already said this was a stupid idea and the charges will never stick. I have a feeling this was the Travis county DA and Abortion Barbie in cahoots to make the (R) candidates look bad.
Well, it did the opposite by making them look like idiots.
Someone needs to follow the trail and see if it indeed leads back to the “Barbie” campaign team! Bet it does!
I’m glad you posted - I was going to write and ask you what you were hearing locally about the Perry indictment and this drunken DA.
Yup, especially with her latest campaign adds about Greg Abbot on the TX Supreme court. He ruled by the LAW at the time, not one later put into place. She is a dumbass.
Okay, do we know if the open bottle in the car was also a handle? Because if so, if you’re taking pulls off one of those while you’re driving, that should be a...
“...and it was at that point that I realized my life had become completely unmanageable...”
...moment.

Where would you be if you blew a .239?
But you tell me that it was somehow a before the fact conspiracy that included Obama.
pinging my self to read later ..
According to the article, “Lehmberg was sentenced to 45 days in jail and had to pay a $4,000 fine. Lehmberg also lost her law license for 180 days.”
“Why does Obama like McCrum?”
Obama would only like a scumbag. The math seems straightforward.
